Description:
Grundschartner is 3065 meter high peak and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 9 km south-southeast from the center of Brandberg and 10 km southeast from the center of Mayrhofen. The nearest mountain hut is Edelhütte, located 5km northwest. A little further is Andreas-Hofer-Hütte. 1.1 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Kainzenkarkees, 2 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Hasenkarkees. East-southeast of the summit is the valley Sundergrund.
