Hoher Herd

Description:
Hoher Herd is 2819 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 8 km north from the center of Außergschlöß and 8 km north from the center of Innergschlöß and 4 km northeast of peak Larmkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Jausenstation Gamsblick, located 3km east-southeast. Sauersteinalm is a bit further away. 5 km west-southwest from the summit there is glacier Waidsfeldkees, 7 km southwest from the summit there is also glacier Nördliches Viltragenkees. The peak is located east-northeast of the valley Habachtal.
