Mutkogel is 3312 meter high peak in the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located 6 km north from the center of Vent and 9 km west-southwest from the center of Zwieselstein. The nearest mountain hut is Braunschweiger Hütte, located 2km north-northwest. A little further is bivouac Rheinland-Pfalz-Biwak. 0.7 km northeast from the summit there is glacier Tiefenbachferner, 1.9 km north from the summit there is also glacier Karlesferner. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Rettenbachtal. The peak is located on the ridge Weißkamm.
