Pfalzkogel is 2365 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 8 km north from the center of Winkl and 9 km north from the center of Heiligenblut. The nearest mountain hut is Tüchelhütte, located 2km east-southeast. A little further is Karhütte. 8 km southwest of the peak there is lake Sandersee. 2 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Brennkogelkees, 5 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Boggeneikees.
