Raneburgkogel is 2925 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 3 km southeast of peak Wildenkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Staudleralm, located 4km northeast. A little further is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte. 5 km west-northwest from the summit there is glacier Karleskees, 6 km west-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Kristallwandkees. The peak is located north of the valley Frosnitztal.
