Description:
Rotegg is 3341 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Gruppo di Tessa. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Zwickauer Hütte - Rifugio Plan, located 1.6km east-northeast. And bivouac Bockhütte is also close by. 4 km west-southwest from the summit there is glacier Gurgler Ferner, 4 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Gaisbergferner. West-northwest of the summit is the valley Gurgler Tal. The peak is located on the ridge Ötztaler Hauptkamm - Cresta principale Alpi Venoste.
