The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Zwickauer Hütte - Rifugio Plan, located 0.7km south. bivouac Rauhjoch Biwak is a bit further away. 2 km north-northeast from the summit there is glacier Gaisbergferner, 3 km north-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Hochfirstferner.
