Schwärzenjoch is a saddle at an altitude of 3145 meters and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The saddle is located 2 km northeast of peak Bankkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Fidelitas Hütte, located 3km northwest. A little further is bivouac Bockhütte. 8 km southeast of the saddle there is lake Langsee - Lago Lungo. 1.8 km west from the saddle there is glacier Gurgler Ferner, 4 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Kleinleitenferner. The saddle is located southeast of the valley Gurgler Tal. The saddle is located on the ridge Schwärzenkamm.
