Hochwilde - Cima Altissima

Description:
Hochwilde - Cima Altissima is 3482 meter high peak with a cross in the Natural Park Gruppo di Tessa. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Stettiner Hütte - Rifugio Petrarca, located 1.2km south-southeast. A little further is bivouac Bockhütte. 6 km southeast of the peak there is lake Langsee - Lago Lungo. 3 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Gurgler Ferner, 6 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Kleinleitenferner. North-northwest of the summit is the valley Gurgler Tal. The peak is located on the ridge Ötztaler Hauptkamm - Cresta principale Alpi Venoste.
