Bankkogel

Description:
Bankkogel is 3310 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Stettiner Hütte - Rifugio Petrarca, located 3km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Bockhütte. 1.6 km north from the summit there is glacier Gurgler Ferner, 4 km north-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Kleinleitenferner. The peak is located south-southeast of the valley Gurgler Tal. The peak is located on the ridge Ötztaler Hauptkamm - Cresta principale Alpi Venoste.
