Hochwilde (Nordgipfel)

Description:
Hochwilde (Nordgipfel) is 3461 meter high peakon which a cross stands in the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Stettiner Hütte - Rifugio Petrarca, located 1.5km south-southeast. bivouac Bockhütte is also relatively close. 7 km southeast of the peak there is lake Langsee - Lago Lungo. 3 km west-northwest from the summit there is glacier Gurgler Ferner, 5 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Kleinleitenferner. The peak is located south-southeast of the valley Gurgler Tal. The peak is located on the ridge Ötztaler Hauptkamm - Cresta principale Alpi Venoste.
