Hochwildejoch

Description:
Hochwildejoch is a saddle at an altitude of 3224 meters in the Natural Park Gruppo di Tessa. The saddle is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Stettiner Hütte - Rifugio Petrarca, located 1.7km south. A little further is bivouac Bockhütte. 7 km southeast of the saddle there is lake Langsee - Lago Lungo. 3 km west-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Gurgler Ferner, 5 km northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Kleinleitenferner. Northwest of the saddle is the valley Gurgler Tal. The saddle is located on the ridge Ötztaler Hauptkamm - Cresta principale Alpi Venoste.
