Schwarzer Kopf is 2778 meter high peak in the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located in country Austria 7 km south-southeast from the center of Gmünd and 7 km south from the center of Gerlos and 4 km west-northwest of peak Wildgerlosspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Zittauer Hütte, located 5km east. A little further is Karlalm. 5 km east of the peak there is lake Unterer Gerlos See. 3 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Schönachkees, 3 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Ebener Kees. The peak is located north of the valley Zillergründl.
