The nearest mountain hut is Klammer's Jausenhütte, located 4km northwest. A little further is Karlalm. 3 km east from the saddle there is glacier Ebener Kees, 4 km southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Schönachkees. The saddle is located southeast of the valley Gerlostal.
