Südliche Sonnenspitze is 2668 meter high peak in the Karwendel Mountains. The peak is located 3 km southeast of peak Kaltwasserkarspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Falkenhütte, located 2km northeast. A little further is bivouac Lalidererspitzen-Biwak. The peak is located west-southwest of the valley Laliderer Tal. The peak is located above the ridge Hinterautal-Vomper-Kette.
