When I wrote that everyone should calculate how much it costs them AT HOME, I didn't mean the place they come from, but home - household. Washing bedding, going to the store, making breakfast and dinner... My post was aimed at the opinion that huts here are expensive in summer..., I don't know what's impatient about that. Ask the keepers how much they've "earned" this year with the weather as it was. I agree that price lists must match. Regards.

Go to that same Sölden in January - price will be x5. Purely dependent on season.

When taxes, work, delivery, materials, laundry, maintenance are paid... from the above amounts NOTHING remains. If someone thinks they can eat, drink and sleep in mountains in July or August for 10 Eur per day, let them ask how much it costs them at home.

Those bothered by crosses across the European Alps are probably also bothered by prayer flags and wheels in Nepal and Tibet. Or not? They bother the Chinese. Europe is traditionally Christian, just like Nepal is Buddhist... And spirituality has always somehow been present in the mountains, lots of people seek and find inner peace there, turn to higher powers for help too... And so, live and let live... Sorry in advance and - Namaste, God with you, whichever and by whatever name.

@Jus Why already? Will they get lost? Then, say, from Tinčkova koča toward the Koča at the source of Završnica, then left over Šija and then traverse under Vrtača toward Stol, then before CŠ down to the other side... Nice loop, isn't it?

@udy81 the path is called Trate/Johhansenruhe - Stol, you have it on the mountain list; http://www.hribi.net/izlet/trate___johannsenruhe_stol_plezalna_pot/11/53/2223 Since it's logistically awkward to drive to Austria and therefore descend the same path, I recommend starting at Tinčkova koča in Završnica, continuing over Zagon and the saddle before Celovška špica to Celovška koča on the Austrian side, ascent via ferrata and descent via the scree under Stol back to Završnica... Or from Stol descend under Celovška špica and return over the saddle to the starting point in Medji dol...

With buddy yesterday morning from Medji dol via ferrata to Stol then down to Valvasor and Završnica. Austrian side sun, at around 1800m fog started, summit blew hard. Views - zero. On Prižnica sun again as befits sunny alpine side. No people - neither on one side nor the other, which suited fine. Attach few pics.

@Grega92 Yesterday I walked to Vratc and poked my nose a bit under the north side of Mojstrovkas. Snow is around 2000m; the path is surely frozen, wet and slippery in some parts... Attaching a picture.

Stupid that at the foot of any mountain, if we can call the forum that (this path is Razor), they debate "Bojan". Most Hribi.net visitors aren't interested in the hysterical outburst and whoever that K. is. Egotrip succeeded for him for sure. If it's promotion of new show (some road or what??) on RTV Ruanda, even more pathetic.

Yesterday 30.8. with friend we visited Dolkova špica via eastern path. Up over škrbina down via western side. People few almost none ibex more weather perfect. Rdeča škrbina partly crumbly nothing demanding just watch those coming behind us... Friendly and chatty little girl in hut under Peričnik with cold beer provided nice end to the tour. Attaching some pics.

I have the version of 50 protected climbing routes by Andrej Mašera. Introduction written by Tine Mihelič. (published by Sidarta in 96). But more or less all these descriptions are somehow here on Hribi.net....

Manifesting superiority is a defense mechanism by which a person tries to conceal their own view of themselves as inferior. I think, Juš, from your posts it's clear you're an excellent mountaineer, alpinist. So some more self-confident distance wouldn't hurt you, since no one wants anything from you. Once again - you're an excellent mountaineer, so advice, descriptions, opinions are super. Sarcasm and sniping; that's not.

Today 30.3. my friend and I went to Begunjščica from Završnica via "Smokuški mev". At about 1,500 m a.s.l. a rock the size of a "šajtrgo" rushed down the gully towards us over the jump. Luckily we dodged it, it was quite "close". If we'd been 50m higher then, it'd be crisis. Gotta watch the terrain...
