This year, after 9 days wandering in the mountains above Bohinj, we were returning to Savica. The idea was to also see the waterfall before heading to the car, but in the end we decided to sit in front of the hut . Well, when we were filling up with cold water at the entrance to the Savica waterfall, we saw that quite a few were going up in flip-flops (mother, father, and daughter) or in clogs. Since I don't know the real condition of this path, I'm wondering why no one dissuades these people if not for basic safety.

I also started with hiking in the hills three years ago. At the beginning it's tough, then you get a bit fit and it goes better and faster. Especially for descent I recommend hiking poles, because they reduce the weight burdening the knees by up to 30% and thus prevent overload. Now for a year I've been running regularly and also started cycling and swimming. Mainly so as not to burden always the same body parts and prevent boredom and consequent quitting of sports activity. But all together won't bring weight loss if you don't reduce food intake and don't eat properly and healthy food. I still have to lose quite a few kg, but with time that result will come too. For now my health has improved a lot.

It also happened to me in high boots, that I twisted my leg between rocks. Not the ankle, but I overstretched the tendon on the top of the foot. It still hurts, even though a week has passed, so quite serious, at least for me who runs regularly. I wonder if low boots aren't more agile in such cases, because it seems to me that with high boots I step more "stiffly".

Quechua 2 seconds tents are phenomenal.. we have two and they are very practical. In the morning you pack up in 5 minutes. Also running and bike gear is good, I run practically only in their gear. For high technical gear they aren't at the level yet. Maybe in the future.

In Decathlon it's worth buying basic gear, clothes: t-shirts, fleece, the rest I bought either online or at Sportler (since it's in my town): mountain boots, winter jacket, socks, backpack, headlamp etc. only North Face jacket they got me in ...BIH where batch with defect came discounted (100 euros for jacket with soft-shell insert). Price of gear with known brand has no lower price in Decathlon. Equivalent offer as in Deca found in Intersport where they have their English house brand.

Stealing shoes in the mountains is really crazy..at least they could have left him the old ones so he could return to the valley safe and sound. Unthinkable for me. But still, at night I take the shoes to the room if I overnight somewhere up there. How sad
