I suggest that in this thread we collect crosses and chapels on peaks and along hiking trails. For the introduction I'm adding a photo of the cross at St. Lenart church on the path to Veliki Rogatec and the cross and Mary with Jesus on Prevali.

carniolus, how frequent is image capture to get such a video? 1/s? I have an older camera (Canon G6) that still serves me excellently but unfortunately only 1 shot per minute, which is too little for a usable timelapse. So I help myself with a video camera, whose recordings I then 'speed up' in postproduction e.g. by a factor of 100. Unfortunately in this case I get huge amounts of material (e.g. 64 GB card full in 5 hours).

On Saturday my wife and I went to Rogatec past Zg. Špeh, where we observed from afar and filmed a group of four chamois. We started at the no driving sign, where it's a 20-minute walk to the chapel, in cloudier weather. At the chapel it was already sunny and warm, and only a bit below the summit it clouded over again. Just above the chapel there are still some storm damages. Up in the forest there's still quite a lot of snow, unfortunately so soft that it sinks in considerably and walking is quite tricky (luckily not dangerous). The little dog with us had no such issues due to low weight (7kg). Up top it was windy, we quickly snacked just below the summit and descended, where the sun shone again. We spotted one hiker (with dog) on Lepenatka, otherwise we were alone all day.

Well, my wife and I had an even stranger experience recently at Kamniško sedlo. It was already hard to fall asleep in the evening because we were the first in bed and then all the others rushed into the room around 10 pm, then a Croat started snoring relentlessly. The man sleeping above my wife climbed down from the bunk and went to quiet the guy, when he climbed back and lay down, the bunk literally collapsed and the upper part (with mattress and thick wooden base) fell on my wife. Thank God nothing bad happened - my wife was also awake because of the Croat's snoring and by some luck jumped away in time as soon as she felt something on her. The upper guy was more upset, convinced he had squished someone. Otherwise the hut is really nice (even showers with hot water), but for the beds I give them a big -.

Can't find info anywhere - will there be the traditional holy mass on Storžič this year on Saturday after Veliki šmarn? At what time?

Well, on Sunday afternoon we were also at Sv. Višarje (mainly because of the mass) and around three it was cloudy everywhere and poorer views. After mass the sun started to show and when we were returning to Slovenia around five, the previously hidden peaks were already nicely visible - Mangart, Jalovec, later also Triglav.

One question re St. Višarje. Does anyone know about the mass language? Read on a blog it's nice because masses in all three languages, but wondering if that means all masses in three languages or just some? Mainly interested in tomorrow's mass at 3pm. Hope someone can tell me something about it, thanks in advance.
