On our three-week trip through Georgia we (with wife and three teenagers) of course found time for the beautiful mountains too. We didn't climb any, but observing was already very nice.

From Mestia we took the chairlift up to the top of the ski resort opposite Mestia, to over 2,000 meters, where we were rewarded with beautiful views. We kept turning to Ushba, which enchanted us with its sheer walls.

The road to Planina Blato is closed. Snow starts continuously towards Planina Pri Jezeru from the upper parking lot onwards.
In the morning it's frozen, not icy, starts melting around 10am. I used all winter technical equipment. Quite strong sun!

Winter conditions, I used all technical winter equipment. Snowshoes are not necessary.

With winter tires to parking at Planina Javornik. Space for cca 14 cars. To hut in boots, then snowshoes. Path trampled, 40 cm powder.

On the path to Dovška baba, found 14.1. sunglasses. Owner send me ZS.

This tiny bird is the goldcrest.
Rarely seen, for my hammers and anvils it will soon be inaudible too.

10 cm snow, icy on the trail in places, also under leaves.
