If anyone is really interested in the conditions there's a snow patch up there, and I met about 10 foreigners who said they're going up without winter gear. Probably already a highway.

This morning. There is snow but not really. At 6am frozen, at 8am mushy.

From Dnine to Veliki Oltar it was tracked on Sunday.

Trodden, packed, goes quickly ahead. No winter gear needed.

I take pics with the camera from S5 active, same as S5 Neo, 16mpix. Excellent pics, I give you two samples that will surely convince you and the "Active" version is useful also because of other things (resistance to water, cold,...). Once I found one under Jalovec, which lay 14 days under snow and worked without problems when I plugged it into the charger...

Yesterday (Saturday). The ridge and ozebnik are just right hard, in the chimney there's too little snow in my opinion. Unless you like drytooling Regards

@curiosity2015 Almost no (new) snow has fallen in the Julians up to today, you'll have the most snow in Krma.

Snow on Sunday 25.10. was cca. 20cm. At 13h already quite soft as it was hot. Needed crampons and ice axe on ridge to west summit, east one quite crowded. Maybe new snow yesterday?

Icefield on Saturday 24.10. Snow is just right

This morning the road to Vršič was normal, drivable with summer tires, at the top a bit frozen. Higher up to 20 cm snow.
