Nice day, nice tour, what more could you wish for. The day started very early before we 4 guys from Bela Krajina arrived at Tinko's hut in Završnica. The morning didn't promise much beauty, as there was such fog at the starting point that you could cut it. But luckily it got better later. Along the unmarked but well visible path (spur) we headed towards the lower path from Zelenica to Stol. We followed the marks towards Celovška hut and arrived at Belščica saddle, where the fun began. Gear up and along the ridge to the first Jelenček. Crossing easy, descent from the second Jelenček (or as it says on the cross placed on the top Edelweißspitze 1924) into the notch between Jelenčki and Krkotnik requires some skill, help is a fixed rope, and a bit lower also a couple of pegs for easier crossing of smooth rocks on Krkotnik. Crossing Krkotnik 2116m a bit in Slovenia a bit in Austria, descent to Celovška notch and ascent towards the top of Celovška špica goes quite nicely, if you ignore the extreme friability on some sections. Access to the top between 2 large rocks and then slightly right, or you can climb along the lightning rod on a smaller chimney. Celovška špica 2110 with 2 crosses installed and descent on rappel approx. 20m. Crossing further along the ridge towards Stol notch goes completely on the top and you need to find the best passage. Here and there a cairn guides you, but there aren't many. At the end you need to climb a few meters of rock (3), where a peg awaits you at the top. Then just descent to the notch, and along the path for beer at Prešeren hut. For the crossing we needed approx. 5 hours, difficulty doesn't exceed 3. We were alone, below us crowd towards Stol and Celovška hut.

On Friday to Turska. Okrešelj - Kotliči - Sod brez dna, summit and back via Turski. Conditions, interesting. Lots of snow. But from concrete to pure rottenness. Just below the summit the most demanding. Sod brez dna with ice cover but with some chipping it's open.

No, went from parking via Lovska to Ledine. But managed to film from V. Baba summit the avalanche mentioned above. It was booming like in Donbas.
So advise against Ledine - Češka path, if someone was there yesterday they would have gotten plenty.

Also from the other side, Ledine, all dry, passable without winter gear
gandalf23. 06. 2023 22:29:40
All dry. If you're interested

Mangart is completely dry so whoever wants...

My respects. But I think the brake was lost up there by a V.R visitor on 13.6, at least he was looking for it. Unfortunately I don't know who it was.

Fuck, that's flying rocks. Consequences of the rock from 14 days ago on High Rokav.

Has anyone been to Hanzova in the last week? I'm interested in the snowfield. Thanks

Ridges are similar. Just that this one is quite crumbly in places and more work finding better passages. But if you've done those two already you'll find no big difference in solidity.

Check the links.

If anyone happens to be tempted to visit Altar, no need to drag winter gear. Snow is on the "plain" around Šplevta saddle - DK and in the gully to the top, which you can bypass on the left side.

On the scree, snow only at the edges. Higher in the glacier almost to the end. Info from today

Anyone happen to have fresh info on Slovenian? Snow and other features. Thanks

The height of the initial snow section was problematic, which was sharply cut off and exceeded my height. But possible on rocks BP. The snow height exceeded 4 m at some spots, as per the end chimney.
