It was nice but due to stuffiness in the lower part quite strenuous.

Yesterday 9.7.2022 we visited Bovški Gamsovec and Križ. Start from Vrata via Luknja. Returned via Sovatna. Weather very nice, at times needed windbreaker, quite windy. Wonderful views, lots of visitors. Tour spiced by meeting chamois.

The road is plowed and salted, on Sunday no problem with winter tires.

From Kr. Rak there is no steep meadow (from the forest). There is a marked path (now a trail) through the forest that leads to the Rakove Ravni parking lot.

Do you perhaps mean the meadow behind the house at Kranjski Rak?

I was there on Monday, snow already from Kr.Rak onwards, road plowed, with skis on the forest path (marked) no problem.

Correction, snowcat driver could take them to height of Tihe Doline.

Just now (16.30) friend returning from parking at Ravne, there agreed to take him to Velika planina with snowcat. Due to strong wind and drifts snowcat driver refused transport.
Even with 4x4 jeep very hard to reach parking at Ravne (one car already slid off road).

Parking at Ljubelj ok, path through Bornove tunnels to Prevala also ok, on the path from Zelenica to Roblek there might still be some snow somewhere.

Has anyone been ski touring below Kriška wall, what are the conditions?
