This morning I set off with colleagues to Otlica, this time not through the window but along a less trodden and known path - via Benečija. Start at the spring of Hublja, through the village Gorenje and along Resljeva cca 2km, then it is written on the right side on a big stone Benečija and there we turn right, then a nice little path to the top. Then on Otlica drink tea and return by the same path. At the end also a view of how the new road to Predmejo progresses. A really wide new road has been made. For now it is macadam, but made only somewhere to half of Resljeva path. It looks like it will go completely new, along Resljeva to Predmejo.
Next weekend - Saturday, then night hike to Čaven

Today I went from Podgorje to Slavnik at 18.00,..via Žleb (steep path). It was foggy and light rain was falling. After about 10 min I met a bear at about 20 meters. Luckily he didn't notice me and I quickly ran back straight to the car. Before I got to the car the village dogs already started going wild and barking like crazy. I think the bear came right down to the village.
So, whoever plans to go up should be careful or not go. I notified the caretaker of Tumova koča and PD Podgorje-Kojnik.

Hi,

the path is around 7km long, mostly downhill. You descend from 1243 m.a.s.l. to Abram at 900 m.a.s.l.
A medium pace takes no more than 1 h 30 min. If you step more firmly, you're at Abram in 1 h.

No more snow on Small Golak. Instead it's foggy and quite windy at the top. Nevertheless I met quite a few hikers.

Personally I hike a lot in hills. Lately also run sometimes. Besides that I also do road cycling.
Question: what heart rate do you have uphill running say at easy, medium and steep incline? Do you run non-stop or on steeper inclines prefer fast walking?
My personal record so far 1120 elev m/h. How much can you climb in 1h.

Yesterday I treated myself to a nice tour from Lokavec to Čaven. Nice ascent, to the top meadow above Lokavec the path is medium steep then almost to the top very steep.. But definitely worth the effort because a wonderful view awaits us on top: Primorska part of Slovenia, on the left Snežnik, a bit more to the right Slavnik, behind Učka,...
On top around 16:00, sunny 15 degrees,..

Today I was on Slavnik from Podgorje. Just right temperature for solid pace uphill. At top wind, bit of rain showers, 16 degrees. Tomorrow probably head up again.

Went today from Provč - via Razor. Nice trodden path,.. On top wonderful view on Julian, Kamnik Alps. Attaching couple pics.
