Hello,

today I set off for Lisco through the village of Razbor. When I got out of the village, a hawk started flying over me. At first its behavior seemed innocent. It kept me in sight all the time and started flying towards me as if it wanted to catch prey. If I hadn't defended myself with a stick, I can only wonder what it would have done to me. I hid in the nearby forest hoping it would leave me alone. When I was returning it waited for me again. This time it flew even higher and then dived at me at high speed. I was very scared. I can thank a friendly local who drove me back to the village of Razbor. Does anyone perhaps know what the reason for such behavior was?

best, Matic

Today I climbed up to Grmada, actually twice. First time I went via Mazejeva path, because I missed the climbing part, since I didn't know exactly where to go. When I got to the valley I climbed up to Grmada again via the climbing path. I have to say, it's very interesting..... I forgot to take any pictures, because I was focused on every single step.

Best, matic

Yesterday conquered Snežnik from Sviščaki. Path is muddy and on descent quite slippery too. It was nice.

For fun I'm always welcome... Yeah, I also have that lower climbing harness, and it never chafed me. I got myself a one-piece one for ferratas, and because of the backpack I always carry on me.... The regular harness doesn't press me during rappels either, the one-piece one does... Ugh, to solve the problem...cool

Turbo, I totally agree with you.... So far there has been no injury (after 4 years of ferratas), but still I got the kit for my own safety.

OK. Thanks for answers. Bought one-piece harness precisely because of heavier backpack I have on ferratas. Will figure something out....

One interesting question for users of one-piece harness..
Today I bought a one-piece Petzl harness and tested it a bit at home. When I sat into it with all my force, it really tightens around my balls and hurts like hellbig grin: eek: (regular climbing harness never did that to me). Simulated a fall and think it would crush them.
Has anyone had a similar problem and how did they solve it... Tried adjusting the harness nicely in the crotch all ways, unsuccessfully...
Thanks for help

Question about harness.

What is more recommended: one-piece harness (over shoulders and butt) or regular climbing harness (just over butt) for ferratas??

Thanks for answer

I always wrap the heel area of my foot with an elastic bandage before a hike. I'm also prone to blisters.

Yes, the total surprised me too, given that you can use it only once. I was determined to treat myself to the new model for sure, but I changed my mind because it's a pity to waste the money (for one-time use - you never know). I don't know why they started making and selling such kits then?

Exactly as francihabjan wrote. I inquired at Promontana. In a fall the brake that's in that little bag 'tears' and then it's unusable. Need to replace the whole kit. Older version doesn't have this issue. There the kit after fall and onwards is used normally. Salesman told me there's a big difference in fall cushioning (newer is much better).

Yeah, I'm interested too. Is it no longer usable after the brake tears?

Hello

I'm interested in the difference between these two self-belay kits.

1. http://www.mimovrste.com/artikel/3820342224/varovalni-komplet-petzl-zyper-vertigo-za-zavarovane-poti

2.
http://www.mimovrste.com/artikel/3820342123/varovalni-komplet-petzl-scorpio-vertigo-za-zavarovane-poti

With item number 2 this bothered me:
-length without carabiners: total length: 90 cm; legs: extended:54 cm, retracted: 32 cm; short leg: 7 cm; length after full tear: 204 cm
If the legs extend only to 54 cm, it's very awkward for self-belaying. Am I wrong?

Which one do you recommend more? What are the differences between the two? What does length after full tear 204 cm mean (does it mean it doesn't retract to original state)?
Thanks for answers and best regards
