I have a slightly unusual question. My husband and I want to take our two children (6.5 years and 9 years) to some easier and shortly accessible peak higher than 2000m. What do you recommend or advise? Can there be any issues with altitude sickness?

Hello. I have 6 and 8 year old children who really like going to the mountains. What and how much should they eat on hiking tours about 2 hours one way? Sara nasmeh

To Golica up the steep way and down the gentle one. (total walking 4-5h)

Thanks everyone for the replies. Just to say, last week we went to Raduha, and the kids really enjoyed it because the path was easy and full of raspberries.nasmeh

Short trip, more suitable for maintaining fitness. On Saturday we went up, because the weather was cloudier, we could only see the marsh, not the Kamnik Alps. On the way back we also looked at the nearby lake in Podpeča.

For me, sleeping on Ratitovec remains in memory. Really beautiful sunset, which was later replaced by countless stars.nasmeh

I like the peaks above Krvavec, especially Kompotela. Nice grassy, easily accessible summit with nice view on Kamnik Alps. Trip suitable also for kids.

Thanks, I was mainly interested in those small stops. I give them a banana or a piece of chocolate but a passing-by gentleman told me that you shouldn't eat during the ascent because the stomach can have digestion problems.
