Beautiful weather but it was blowing like crazy. At the top I made some shots but wind already started howling and it was in gusts so not very safe across the ridge. Path over Konj is renovated so no problem as snow is only a trace.

The path will be renovated in 2019, I see there are quite a few candidates for path markers. You can apply to PD Kamnik as we need new faces full of enthusiasm and knowledge. As long as the path is closed you have no business there except at your own risk then God help you. Nice mountaineering greeting.

It looks like markacists will have to go into action even in winter.

Dear, in the message dated 08.02.2014 there was an error, namely at the meeting in Komenda the chief of cavers was present and not the PZS vice-president, for which I apologize to you and thank you for understanding. Best regards.

Garmont the initiative came from elsewhere to put some peg over the jump for easier passage. Hikers will go there whether there are protections or not, there was talk that it would be easier passage for mountain rescuers in case of rescue since you reach Korošica at least one hour earlier than over Presedlaj. Hikers once they know the path then go there whether secured or not, but really at own risk safety is first for everyone. Also over gamsov skret we replaced pegs and cables for safer passage although not marked path but cables have been there long because it's a hunting path. Yesterday 07.02.2014 we had a meeting in Komenda where the PZS vice president was present who said they discussed the problem of cyclists riding on marked paths and it was explicitly said again that any cycling on marked paths is legally prohibited as all were against. That's for info and nice regards and safe steps to all hikers.

One day this painter will get caught and then with Kamnik markers there will be no mercy. If he has such joy let him report to us at PD Kamnik, believe me he will have work over his head. We don't have problem only with so-called painters but also another sort of extreme athletes namely cyclists who ride on marked paths, where it's not allowed but straight across and thus destroy humus, make new paths on which then hikers also walk. So then at certain forks there are three tracks and more you don't know which is the right marked one. So on the marked path towards Dolina Dol there are no wooden steps for a long time, which were made for easier step or drainage, which is very important so that water drains properly. At the last accidental encounter with cyclists they were ready to argue with me even for two hours if necessary and convinced me that they are right, but that doesn't hold true. I hope there will be as few of these extremes as possible because otherwise we wonder why maintain paths if everyone can do what they please. Thanks to all who report what happens on certain paths even those not marked, it's a pity that this happens since there was already talk to put some pegs over the jump over Šraj pesek for easier passage and because of such events this surely won't happen. Nice regards to all.

I'm also slowly growing gray hairs on how to get to the top now. The old path was somehow still okay, now there's a bunch of iron in one place and I don't know where or how. Now I'm in a dilemma what to do, how to the top. I'm really in great uncertainty and despair, what if it collapses somewhere again and a rock falls on my shoe. Horrible feeling, ah. Never mind, I decide, I'll go to the wall then think deeply there how to the top. May luck be with me, well good luck to everyone.

The path is normally passable without snow but the marking is rather poor as far as I know. Time to get the Styrians into gear. Good luck and safe steps.

A week ago conditions were like this. On exposed sections the snow has been cleared away; some is on scree below and right under summit.

In winter conditions, the ascent over Dolce to the summit has always been and will always be dangerous. Any underestimating on this terrain leads to death; I saw it with my own eyes a few years ago, and that at extremely good weather. The mountaineer was not an average hiker but a very good runner with excellent fitness; sadly, accident never rests. My humble opinion, which I always adhere to, is caution and safety first, because nature is merciless. Winter gear must be in the backpack until the last big snow patch melts, since after two or three meters of the icy roof you can no longer stop. All opinions on this portal can be very positive, as we can all learn something from them; man learns throughout life. Personally, I am happy for every comment on this portal; if it is positively oriented, it is to the benefit of us all. May there always be a safe step on your path, good luck.

This morning, not too early, to Kamnik Saddle with a friend. Snow starts below Pastirci and in the morning there was not much sinking. Also above Pastirci on the scree no crampons were needed. Up above before the hut it was so hot that we were shirtless up there. Avalanches on Brana are quite active so there's something to see and hear. Snow is getting more rotten so the way back is already a bit harder on the scree. The day was really beautiful, but I don't know how it will be after the next bad weather they're forecasting. Good and safe steps to all.
