Last winter I bought ASOLO boots (139.95 EUR) to break them in slowly until the summer season. After approximately ten hikes, long and deep cracks appeared on the hard rubber that covers the front part of the boot over the toes. Otherwise I wear the boot excellently and was very satisfied with it. Unfortunately I don't have the receipt, only the box with price and code. That's not enough for a complaint. Has anyone had a similar case? What to do? Regards

Yesterday's sunny day we utilized with a friend for a visit to Jerebica. From the Italian side. Above the forest line beautiful views begin, under the summit edelweiss, we also picked a handful of cranberries. At the little box a viper is sunning itself. The view of all the traversed peaks and paths around is really wonderful. That day we were the only hikers on the mountain. Beautiful tour.

I think that with grandpa and grandma it really wasn't said in negative sense. I understood it as praising and joyful. Forum is also for path descriptions and current conditions, unfortunately some here dump their bad mood and negative energy. Ana go to mountains and try to relax. Maybe you'll even succeed.

Yesterday I went through Jenkova planina to Baba. Descent on the difficult path to Ledine. Haven't experienced such wind in mountains for a long time. Especially on the ridge gusts were really strong. As Rok wrote, Kočna was in fog, Baba was in the sun all the time, but due to wind still pretty cold. And on descent I met a "mountaineer" in shorts, Adidas shoes, no backpack or poles. And he brags he always flies through mountains like that.

"I would like to lead along this path a group of 4 people who have no experience..." From this sentence it can be understood that you will lead. If someone else who knows the path joins, you can most easily discuss the tour itself with him. Really, more heads, more knowledge, but just in the mountains sober judgment with your own head most often helps. And a safe journey!

First hike the path yourself, then think and assess how you'll lead anyone where. This applies to every tour! You don't even know yourself, yet you'd lead others! Have you thought about responsibility???

Is the hut open?

Better go and really hike some path, climb some mountain. No need to photo, collect stamps and prove where all you've been. Save in your soul and cheer yourself up. That's purpose of true hiker. Good luck!

I have hiked quite a bit in hills and mountains, but 8 l I have never carried with me. Sure, you can buy it in the hut, the spring delights us. You're exaggerating a bit, Marco-Slo.

Went through the album to check when I did this tour. 10.10.99 no digital yet. Exactly from that cable I have a pic, unfortunately I'm on it too, not interesting for public. Really nicer pics with mountains, flowers, animals.

I was given to see the most beautiful ibex on Božji police. So close I didn't dare reach for the camera, so they wouldn't get scared. Sitting and enjoying, then they come a couple meters below me. Really magnificent view.

If you go via Jenkova pl., it's definitely worth going to Goli vrh, though off the path to Baba. Beautiful view. I went in this direction over Baba to Ledine. That cable from Baba seemed interesting, routed straight down. Definitely a nice circular tour.

I advise you to hire a mountain guide, or someone who will explain to you "face to face" how and where to go. Good luck.

On Thursday I went towards Vrtača and to my great joy saw many beautiful black murkas. Of course there is lots of other flowers too, hope mountaineers really just observe this beauty and don't pick even unprotected flowers.

Maybe you know something about the hunting hut, which unfortunately is no more? Nice memories!

I'm interested in the path from Zelenica to Suho rušje to Vrtača (know up to here) then from Vrtača to Belščica saddle via "upper path" to Stol. Is it a trodden path? Thanks and regards.
