How are the conditions on the path between bivouac below Skuta and bivouac below Grintovec (over small and large Pode and over the ridge)?
Has anyone been walking there recently?

I'd like to add something too but it makes no sense. I agree with Dejan and the purpose of the forum. Pictures, trip reports and other info (current conditions) often come in handy for me. Sometimes one would probably wish for more fresh tour data. Accidents can happen to anyone and we can learn from them. That someone hikes in the mountains for their own publicity is still a bit funny...

This path is mostly well trodden.. There can't be much snow currently on this sunny side and at this altitude. Maybe just a patch in some shade, otherwise it's whiter on the northern side at higher elevations...

For New Year there were at least around 10 of us on the summit. On 31 Dec 2010 my friend and I also tried, but night would have caught us first, so we turned back just below Mali Triglav summit. The next day was more successful in nice weather and even better conditions... The route has been equipped for quite some time.

I think there will be quite a few of us this year.

Yesterday we were at Kamniško sedlo. The road towards the cargo cableway Žagana peč is mostly dry, only in some places some ice remains, but you can get without problem with a personal car at least to the intersection where the road to the cargo cableway for Kamniško sedlo goes. We went that way, but had to remove some rocks and one branch. A few meters before the lower cabin there's a larger rock in the middle of the road, so it's not passable further.
That's all I know to say, further towards the cableway for Kokrsko sedlo I didn't go. I can only add that there's practically no snow up to 1300m elevation on the sunny side. LP

I was there today too... Too little snow unfortunately, but I still skied from the hut to Pastirci. It was nice!

Last time I skied from the top of Viševnik on Tuesday a week ago. Lots of snow, sunny side blown off quite a bit so grass visible. Now especially above 1800m lots of new snow fallen, but surely someone up there already. Sure it's at least somewhat trodden. But watch out, avalanche danger! 3rd level.

elpadre: We'll go at 7am from Krma, although I've already arranged with friends, for now it's not sure how many of us will go together.. At least me and Ana. Others can join, but let me say we usually have a good pace so we reckon 4-5 hours, depending on conditions and how much rest-photographing. Of course it can always take a bit longer.

miljer: Conditions will most likely be better and definitely nicer than last year, only thing worrying me a bit is still 3rd degree avalanche danger for now, although from Krma there shouldn't be problem and by Friday it will be better, hopefully...

meta.nacy: Given that the road was drivable on 11.12. for cars up to Kovinar's hut then no more major snowfalls, thaw and rain did their thing, at the end of precip some snow again... If the road isn't drivable yet it will be, at least usually is at this time.

Today from the top of Viševnik my Leki hiking pole was blown away. If someone finds it by chance under the precipice, in case someone goes from Blejska koča - Viševnik direction, please leave it at the barracks on Rudno polje. I'll go search for it tomorrow anyway, though I doubt I'll find it...u

Up to Kališče it's mostly gone, further there's quite a bit in some places, nothing in others. Wherever it blew it, nothing on the saddle and likewise on some parts of the ridge.

I was up there today too, we went from Jekarica. As seen on the pictures too, Storžič is still dry for now, but on Sunday it could be completely different.

Given current conditions several paths are suitable, e.g. from Mač or Bašelj then past Kališče and on along the ridge.
I strongly advise against the path through Škarje and Žrelo in these conditions. Don't forget proper gear. Lp
