Humar's biography was already originally written in English.

Why park in Ladra? The path starts in the village Drežnica, but you can drive higher on the gravel road that branches off to the right between Drežnica and Drežniške Ravne. Best to have drinks with you. But on the way to the bivouac there's a lively stream and a trough under the bivouac. The path's difficulty depends on experience; for some more, for others less, for a third nothing at all.

The pasture is called Javornik, Zajavornik is the area behind the pasture along the forest road crossed by the path to Lipanci. We can drive there from Mrzli studenec if we want to avoid walking across the pasture.

It's not a direct answer to the question posed, but I hope sufficiently indirect, maybe useful for someone else, seeing that you are enthusiastic readers here (among whom I count myself). I was fiddling with Cobiss and compiled a list of books about the Himalayas, in Slovenian. I know most of them anyway, but stumbled upon quite a few interesting surprises. Links are to Cobiss stock in Ljubljana City Library, since that's where I go. Sorry to all enrolled in other libraries... https://postopanje.wordpress.com/2016/10/15/himalajsko-branje-poizkus-bibliografije/

Seller advised well, boot needs toe space, esp downhill. If no feel boots too big when walking, they aren't; good boot grips foot despite toe room so heel doesn't lift. On sock number: like no double undies, t-shirts, shirts, fleeces, shells etc, no double socks. Today's technical socks comfy & padded enough, different ones for seasons, temps, conditions, activities etc...

Usually, boots cause blisters at the back if the boot doesn't grip the foot well and your heel lifts in the boot. Salewa, for example, has the 3F system in their models which should grip the heel. They also give 100% anti-blister guarantee. To the previous solutions, I'm adding the most practical one: Unlike Meindl, which, as far as I know, you can buy closest at Sportler in Trieste (surely also somewhere in Austria), Salewa is available in Slovenia as much as you want. (Which doesn't mean that some other manufacturer available in Slovenia - LaSportiva, Hanwag etc. wouldn't be ok. Salewa and LaSportiva e.g. fit narrower feet better, Meindl and Hanwag wider ones...)

If too many socks, the toes will suffer. Long-term solution is acquiring new boots. The Jalovec model obviously copies Meindl footwear (see Air Revolution 3.5), which are considered thoughtfully and top-quality made boots. Maybe try the original to start with. Short-term solution: before putting on Planika boots, cover the spots where blisters appear with blister plasters. long-term solution short-term solution

Crampons in the backpack there for a better feeling quite suffice.

With Factory Store I have only good experiences. Online purchase without problems, complaint for Osprey backpack (lost strap) was impressively fast and effective. So no wonder I use three Osprey backpacks.

Permanent spring is at Malo polje, at the foot of the slope on which Vodnikov dom stands. It's the stream that then meanders across Malo polje. Probably the same water that's tapped higher at the hut.

The wear of the sole is not dependent on the boot manufacturer but on the sole model. Almost all listed and most other boot manufacturers use Vibram soles. Vibram makes a whole range of different soles and boot manufacturers use the one that best suits the purpose of the boot. Otherwise, a simple rule applies - softer rubber - better grip - faster wear... In my experience, in recent years the boot (stitches, rubber, interior) wears out faster than the sole. Once I changed boots when they started slipping on rocks, now I change them because despite the still suitable sole, they are destroyed. And for those who want to replace (Vibram) soles. Vibram has a network of specialist shoemakers for their soles. The closest to us is in Trieste. http://www.vibram.com/vibramrepair/calzolaio_dettaglio.php?id=4198&ric=156855

No underwear insulates when wet, the point of active underwear is that it dries much faster than cotton because it wicks/transfers moisture to the outside. The advantage of merino underwear is that it feels better on the skin (natural, like cotton) than plastic active underwear. Another big advantage is that after intense sweating it doesn't stink like regular active shirts and you can wear one shirt on a multi-day trip without suffocating in your own stench. Of course it's smart to have two, so you can change if the one you're wearing is soaked.

Regarding quality, nothing wrong with Condor, but in my opinion boots usable only in winter conditions. For summer hiking too stiff sole and generally clumsy on dry. If need compromise (semi-auto crampons + use in dry), this better choice: http://www.salewa.com/product/mountaineering/ms-rapace-gtx

The loop can be shortened considerably if descending from top via Šentanski Plaz to Ljubelj. It is quite gravelly, if in lower part keeping more right, we hit path to intermediate cable car station.
