Last week I drove through the passes of the Dolomites, and from the Passo Prodoi pass past the Rif. Forcella hut I climbed to Piz Boe. On the mentioned path you first wander alone in the mist to the mentioned hut, then you join the "procession" of people who go from the gondola on Sass Pordoi to the top of Piz Boja.

Otherwise lower and closer, but still enough for a taste of winter and recreation before work.
Path without features, footprints made, crampons not necessary.

Does anyone know what the snow conditions are now in the mountains around Vršič?

If tomorrow, Friday, someone is heading somewhere and wants company, they can let me know.
Otherwise I'll probably go alone to Raduha.

Interesting debate, now I'm confused too. I was sure I photographed Turska Gora, Skuta and Grintovec, according to the above debate the middle peak is part of Turska Gora? or am I wrong?

Maybe a bit more explanation about my picture (I didn't expect so much discussion). The dog's guides were foreigners - German-speaking, the dog had a mountain rescue badge on it and at first glance you could see it was trained and obeyed commands. But it's also true that I've never seen such a scared dog as yesterday, at places where it was looking for the path it was shaking and seemed very frightened. That's why the scene shocked me a bit and I'm of the opinion that on higher-rated paths a dog has no business being there, even if it's a rescuer I can't imagine how it can be helpful on some hard-to-reach terrain in the middle of a via ferrata. (But this is just a layman's assessment and not an expert opinion.)

Not that I've always been an advocate to go alone in mountains, but now I do it too. Usually when I plan to go I tell someone; if no company then I go alone. Otherwise you stay home all the time and evening watch on this forum where others were.

BaduBadu, don't know exact conditions on Raduha, cuz at Hut on Loki decided to go to Jelovec. Here on path no specials, snow pretty blown off top had some drifts and slopes. When sun out sinks quite a bit.
