You are really funny that you argue so much instead of telling the conditions how and what.

Info that hutkeeper gives you comes from hikers who passed the path, we asked almost everyone where he came from and what the path is like. True though that in one week it melts half meter of snow and what was impassable two weeks ago might be ok today.

Just a week ago they returned to hut in evening because they couldn't cross from Škarij to Planjava, on Sunday a hiker slipped on thick snow under Planjava and was taken to the valley by helicopter with an open ankle fracture.

So if we advise against something sometimes it's only for your good, we don't know if you're in mountains every day or just twice a year and at any cost want to cross some path you set for yourself.

We were on this road on Wednesday with motorcycles.
We drove past two closed road signs, something was written in Italian, but the road was normally passable

No, you can't. It's open as it says, from 5am to 9.30pm, and they close at 8.45pm.
There are toll stations there and if you want to get onto this road you have to pay that entrance fee - 32eur. After 9.30 they lower the barriers and you can't enter anymore, so if you want to start early it would be smart to go in the evening and sleep in one of the huts that are inside this "Grossglockner park".

We slept in that hut last year and early in the morning there was no car anywhere.

Today due to obligations I couldn't leave home in the morning. At 11am I arrive at Logarska and see a whole procession of cars heading inside. I decide to go further to Matkov Kot, and there was no one

Just in case I take crampons and ice axe and put them on my feet. In the valley it's hot as hell. Shorts all the way to the snowfield.

Because of bad experiences with this snowfield I take a 10 min break below. Well, it was 1pm and in those 10 min 2 avalanches came down from the top of the mountain directly above the Škaf, and a couple of stones bigger than soccer balls came rolling down.

If you're going up to the Škaf I recommend crampons, ice axe, big balls and a farewell letter written

Hi, I'm interested if you can list via ferratas in Slovenia and nearby Austria. You mention some very often, but nowhere are they compiled together.

I wouldn't count myself among the elevated, really not one of those elitist alpinists who criticize you loud enough that everyone hears. When some crazy alpinist woman tells you you're "city licker" because you turn below Mrzla gora due to bad conditions...

OK, could write much about that, but don't misunderstand me, didn't mean those drivers who go somewhere and it just skids. It happens, I've been thrown off the road a couple times too, on motorbike though, same thing.

I talk about people who come with their tuned rear-wheel BMWs, think they'll drive to the turnaround mid-winter, road not plowed, ice, snow, sure go, you've been to LD before.

I spend lots of time here and don't even remember all cases when I helped people get car back on road. Drove past three closed road signs and still pushed on.

Congratulations on the ascent, the day was super, snow in KSA solid, only when we looked up the wind must have blown hard because the mountains were at moments totally... white

We went from Razpotje, made a track to Okrešlj and a bit higher and must say, the most dangerous thing in KSA is walking on the LD road...
