Even before, a picture of a dead animal has appeared on the forum, only we didn't know how it ended. And there was no outrage. It's just that you have to always "tackle" someone, this time it's my turn. Just use this opportunity this is my last post on this forum. Best regards, Ajda

Ajda, everyone who has at least a bit of sense knows that you admire chamois and your contribution was not at all offensive or disrespectful to these animals. Disrespectful and inappropriate was at most Juš's comment.

Ajda, let me also speak up in your support. Ignore or overlook the comments of some "tacklers", some of them have already been leaving, were leaving, left, but unfortunately returned again. Stay!!!

Ajda, your trail descriptions are precious and it's a pleasure to look at them. You can't please everyone, but if you brighten someone's day with your contribution, it's worth the effort... Keep hiking safely and post more

Ajda, your photo post was interesting and educational for me. Shame you're engaging in a verbal fight with someone who doesn't like your contribution. Let him have whatever opinion he wants. Post some experiences from your trails sometime and happy upcoming holidays

ajda interesting description visually supported, not controversial for posting. In mountains such or other situations happen daily. You have to accept that. Photos are published where human body is shown in accident as consequence... best

Sometimes people went to mountains and no internet existed to inquire about current conditions, not listing other tips that mountain rescuers, instructors and other regular visitors share today. Back then they went and accident came quick, today in this internet age, mobiles, better small laptop connected to the world. Equipment then and now not much difference, those old crampons even better quality than mine for 80 euros, ice axes same as before, boots old ones better than today's from Alpina. My opinion with this portal and various fb groups and other alpine sections we help each other very much, sad only that some take it as smart-assing, self-boasting, heroism,... if it were that for me guarantee you'd tell me I wouldn't be alive anymore, tears in eyes. Chamois was misled by tracks, as they mislead us in couloirs/ascents and so one female hiker got lost in Begunjščica they rescued her. Winter hasn't started, choose suitable climbs and don't mind others.

Interesting capturing of a chamois that set off on its last path. Most chamois end similarly, as it's one of natural deaths for these animals whose harsh environment shows no mercy and punishes every mistake cruelly. From these pics anyone can see how helpless chamois is in mighty mountains where it's at home and how much more helpless man is, since it's not his natural habitat. Ajda, with camera you caught the last path in life of this chamois and I'm glad you shared these pics with us on this forum, as they can be very instructive for anyone.

I go to the hills mainly because of the animals. Neither heights nor the hiking time that I spend on a certain trail interest me. But I rejoice at encounters with animals. Mostly they are nice pleasant encounters, but this time it ended unfortunately. Death is part of life both for people and animals. I posted on the mountain forum, where people should somehow show how these things go in nature. It saddens me that someone even thinks I could "sickly" enjoy what I saw. I posted the event mainly as food for thought for all of us who go to the mountain world often. And greetings to all

It's a shame there are so many harsh words and hurt feelings. I understand Ajda that the ibex event touched her heart and she wanted to share it with us; but I also understand Juš and that some things are publicly unspeakable and it's right they stay that way ... Well, I don't know how to say it right. But I remember a dead ibex lying near Triglav wall and it didn't occur to me to photo it, nor stare much at it, nor tell others about it ... Some close ones would photo it and post it, coming from same shock ... There are many posts on this topic, I think it's cool and interesting, shame only about the offense, that's really not needed.

After talk with Silvo who was trail running yesterday on sunny Pl. Zajavornik, probably helicopter already took the unfortunate ibex to the valley or they just relocated the carcass to suitable place of its final rest.

Jus, from a humane aspect you expressed your thoughts very nobly. The last picture of the ibex also shook me, but all that is part of our life. What all have I seen in India, from mutilated elders without a leg (probably accident with rickshaw - overcrowded tears off a person's leg when meeting), who sat crying for pennies on the busy street. Without crutches, food, water and walking aids, no one paid attention to them, that was even worse for me (there some people take such things as part of someone's karma and therefore don't help)....I wouldn't list. Even the state can't help them with such population, doesn't even manage to get aid to them...there was also a lot of beautiful spiritual, which you can experience to awaken your sleeping spiritual roots and potentials only there. Here we have America too, just punish the tycoons and put them in jail!.

I also hope that Ajda won't leave this forum just because of one individual's opinion expressed in an inappropriate way. Ajda's post is shocking but that doesn't make it inappropriate. We've seen dead animals on this forum before and no one was horrified.

@Ajda: Please stay, your contributions are balm. On this forum you have all sorts of negativists, all have something in common - low self-esteem, which they raise by insulting others, comparing their achievements with others' (which are of course easier in difficulty), telling others they walk too fast or too slow, criticizing others because they photograph wrong, rolling eyes at questions because they themselves have devoured the whole science of mountains, etc., etc., never-ending story. Stay true to yourself, that's the best way.

Bravo @VanSims and @Flora1! I completely agree - simply, clearly, briefly presented and substantiated facts; or otherwise: "clean shot in the middle of the target".

Don't get too upset over Juš, the guy always says what he thinks, and in the way he thinks is best to say it. Sometimes it comes out a bit rough, but never as a personal attack.
