Yeah, we went around about six years ago. Long tour. And at the end just below the summit there were two completely collapsed. Only half an hour below the summit. It really is a long and strenuous tour around for one day.

Bivouac Dionisio Feruglio was still there last Sunday and nicely visible, as (like most Italian bivouacs) it's painted red. Why ours are painted so unobtrusively, someone should explain-maybe they think the shape is enough to catch your eye .

If there's fog, you'll only run into it with your nose first, otherwise everything's the same

You can sleep in Tadej's bivouac on Kanin, but there will be an official opening soon. Darinka, the bivouac below Antelao summit hasn't been there for two years, as it was carried away with the landslide. Bivouac below Grauzaria was an option for the circular tour Cengle dal Bec, which is quite long, and also for climbers climbing in the J wall. And I fully agree with that about fame. There are mountains in remote areas without huts, long approaches and you just have to sleep, well those who go there-mo.

That's what the bivouac under the Antelao summit looked like a few years ago when we were up there

But are there signs of vandalism on the hut or why are the windows open there?

Julika, you have a sharp eye. But at this altitude there are no vandals, only mountain lovers.

Becar, we live in a legally and culturally ordered state, not somewhere in the Wild West. All state and law representatives convince us of this every day. Shame on anyone who thinks otherwise!

The bivouac was locked a few days ago, the hut of course closed. Why build a bivouac if it's always locked? Who is it even for? Is it really just a winter room as written in the PZS press release and will there be a charge for the overnight stay or will the bivouac be closed all months except winter?

Now even I don't know anymore how it is with the bivouac. It seems more and more to me that it was built just for Ofis architects' advertising, I conclude just from the fact that cameramen and photographers were present all the time recording every minute of work on it. Of course they haven't made that real shot yet, so probably guarding it like that until winter, then.....

On "High Kanin Conditions", I recently got, in response to my question what is happening with the bivouac, the answer that I'm curious. I see I'm not the only one.

The contractor earned well, the architect will have free advertising, mountaineers get nothing At least it looks like that...
