All these warnings, be it from mountain rescuers or hikers who boldly copy them, are like warnings to a Formula One racer that fast driving is dangerous and that one must stop at the red light. Understand already that it's about different life philosophies, and let others live (and also die, if it happens) differently.

Obviously this popular mountain Brana is a topic that divides. Some appreciate LG as an excellent hiker, alpinist, commentator and photographer; others don't like him because of his vanity, mildly put.

lino, check a bit of his past on the forum and you'll see the real picture. Especially regarding equipment and safety. I really believe that wisdom has caught up with him lately, but it bothers me that now he's giving advice which he himself mocked and considered unnecessary when others gave it to him. He also knew how to insult, or rather threaten via ZS, so it's not hard to form an opinion about him. It's true he does good tours and has nice photos. But that he's an excellent alpinist and commentator is a bit of a stretch. LP

SamoK - based on your writing I can only conclude that you have no respect for GR - service either.....maybe then when it's too late.
As for pedestrians, it's like this....probably you weren't even on this world when some of us already did alpinist training and believe me I have a nice number of climbed classics both here and abroad. Sadly I severely injured my arm a while ago but haven't said my last word.
Where there's a will, there's a way.
We can meet face to face too so you can say your opinion more directly but only if you have enough in your pants. Strong with words, what about deeds. Your comments are cynical and the lowest of the low.....redbull - Dejan can be just an example to you as the guy has much more humanity, morals, empathy.....
Some comments really don't deserve posting on this portal as they just incite fights......good luck

Juš, write for yourself because you don't know me; otherwise I know about the accident where someone fell on snowfield and slid; they rescued him; he didn't have crampons and ice axe.

We located severely injured hiker at altitude 2000m above Kserova grapa. Because severe injuries and hypothermia doctor was called too. Rescue action went classically through whole night. With TSL litters and rope technique we transported injured to Valvasorjev dom where NMP vehicle took him. On this occasion we thank following persons for selfless help in transport: Members AO PD Kozjak Maribor: Jožef Bobovnik, Miran Zemljič, Peter Ferk, Edgar Pršo and Tone Golnar Thanks guys without you it would be harder.

On Brana, conditions are getting tougher already for the second day. Similar on Jalovec too.

Recommend using earplugs and muzzles...

What are the conditions on Brana, is winter gear needed (crampons, ice axe), is the path mostly dry.

Brana, taken 26.12.2015, Marked with arrow the place where the path to Brana also goes, which looks still snowy. I think crampons are mandatory there, because it's the north side too.
