Maybe yesterday's photo from Kamniško sedlo helps you.

The winter Okrešelj express is nice. Use your head.

Panda, don't call the devil by the name Okrešelj express. Let it sleep its winter sleep.

Ascending without complete winter gear is very irresponsible. When an accident happens, mountain rescuers head out. No one should challenge fate and ALWAYS use crampons. Yesterday I was at Kamniško sedlo and walking to Brana without crampons, ice axe and helmet is an inappropriate act. More at: http://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/124321/

Aah, some such "donkey" is sure to be found who would go to the top without these three things? At the traverse it's probably avalanching, up top when you reach the rocky path it's definitely smoother, not to mention the roof. Such ascents like Brana, Planjava, T.gora and we could list endlessly; as soon as there's snow cover must use at least crampons-ice axe. Good luck

What the hell is this with gear again. Whoever asks in winter about ascent to Brana, no gear helps him. As if you can't slip with crampons on feet and ice axe in hand!

Of course it slips, maybe even sooner than without them. I advise you to go to neighboring Planjava and report how you got to the top or back without these two aids.

And this is advised and warned by someone who even takes us for donkeys, with whom mountain rescuers have the most work.

tinky, redbull is a VERY experienced mountaineer who just had some bad luck. It can happen to anyone and it's not worth wasting words on it. Anyway, it's pretty stupid to keep repeating it! The real problem I see is in questions from inexperienced ones who think that with an answer about required gear they'll be sufficiently prepared for very demanding and potentially dangerous winter exploits. Advising them is really risky!

Tinky, I wish you nothing bad, but if maybe you went without crampons and ice axe to Brana recently, then you know what you are. In other words, better stick to Šmarna. good luck

redbull, sorry, you're a good mountaineer, but you can't read. Second time you're attributing to someone what they didn't write! Pull yourself together, boy!

Web entry, conditions foggy, windy and hard, that's how it is under Brana. Otherwise take two ice axes, one is always stuck in, so in case of fall it definitely stops you. Not long ago exactly this happened to me, the ice axe saved me.

ljubitelj gora - advising someone who has never self-arrested with an ice axe to take TWO ice axes? So he'll trip over at least one first? Irresponsible! I repeat: for people asking in winter how to go to the mountains, the only good advice is: with someone who masters it (and thus forum questions unnecessary) or not at all!

And anyway - for the normal route to Brana - TWO ICE AXES??? Come on.

Only a baby can write that one ice axe, always stuck in, stops you in case of fall?! Then someone really without any experience reads such nonsense and accidents happen.

So you won't trip over the number of ice axes, in serious winter conditions there's plenty of work for both.

Yes, especially crossing the flank to Brana ( By the way, for this "climbing" on the picture two ice axes are unnecessary. Unless (do I see right??) the guy has no crampons.

You're complicating again, if you have two walking ones, one with wrist loop around the wrist, other without, in case of fall, drop one, arrest with other, higher under Brana two very ok if you have. Wrote for current conditions, saw experienced on FB with two ice axes. Otherwise depends on slope, no idea why redbull had two on Triglav now if one flew past me with ski pole under Mali Triglav.
