Thanks to both for the advice. We were today on Debela peč and soaked up the sun and whiteness.

This Saturday we plan on Debela peč!
a year ago we went for 2 days.
We parked the car by the old barracks (Rudno polje).
First we climbed Viševnik, and on the return from Viševnik we tried to get to Blejska koča, as we planned the next day on Debela peč,
but we got lost in the forest, because the markers were under snow, and we returned home the same day.
It interests us: is Blejska koča open this Saturday, right? And where is the best place to park the car and head to Blejska koča and Debela peč?

It's good if you park off the road and go via pl. Javornik (aka. Zajavornik) to Blejska koča and on to Debela peč. Or drive to the parking at pl. Javornik and then to the hut. You save approx. 20 to 30 min. of walking. To pl. it's a narrow plowed road and there's a problem with meeting vehicles. nasmeh

Yes, looking at the map it's clear, that's the same road that goes to Rudno polje. It's some 2-3 km before Rudno polje, right? But it interests me: is there some sign on that road where to stop and where to go right to the path over Javornik?

I think it's a modest signpost; otherwise, be careful - to the right is Šport hotel, after about 50 m there are usually parked cars and a trampled path to the left to the planina.

Info for antik:
Definitely, the closest starting point for Blejska koča now is the parking at the monument,
at Rupah.
The easiest vehicle access there is via the forest road that branches off the main Pokljuka road right after the 4 km marker. Kilometers are counted from the junction where the road from Bohinj joins. The road from the barracks to this parking is not passable; according to the hut keeper's info, the road at planina Zajavorniki coming from the Mrzli studenec direction is also closed.

Looking at the map, I'm not really sure where the monument at Rupah is... Should we park the car at Hotel Šport? How far is it on foot from there to Blejska koča and to Debela peč?

Well, drive from Bled towards Pokljuka, and when you're right in the middle of the forest you'll spot the junction where the road branches left to Bohinj (big sign); drive another good 50 meters ahead and turn right onto the gravel road (on the left you'll see a larch log cabin, and direction signs for Lipanco and Zajavornik are clearly visible too). Then follow this road to Mrzli studenec or even further to the monument. LP

We two walked on Sunday from the main road to Debela peč in less than 3 hours, nice slow walking with a short break. nasmeh

In case of unchanged road conditions, it is certainly the more pleasant variant along the marked road on the map picture.
You'll save surely half an hour of walking!

four km from the previously mentioned intersection there is a branch of the forest road.

Yesterday I was at Debela peč, the parking area at Planina Javornik is currently quite reduced because forestry is storing logs on the parking so fewer parking spots. Also shorter part of the path to the hut is slightly rerouted due to tree felling, but everything is well marked.
That was the situation yesterday. I went from Šport hotel - you warm up just right to the first climb. For the summit D. p. it's good to have at least small crampons, yesterday it was quite icy.

Today at Debela peč. Weather a bit windy. The path is nicely trodden, icy in some places. Views wonderful (no sun). Good to have small crampons. Nice regards.
