Tomorrow I plan to climb Dobrča from Brezje near Tržič. Does anyone know, will I need crampons?

They're not absolutely necessary, but currently highly recommended, because the path is very icy in places.

The decision to take leave and go to Dobrča again proved more than wise.
Weather fantastic, views even better, hut open, caretakers friendly as always, food I won't even mention, only the path from the top to Poldetova klopca is a bit icy in places and small crampons come in handy.

Today in wonderful weather to Dobrča from Brezje near Tržič. Path completely dry, some snow only near the hut. All benches outside the hut occupied - everyone wants to sunbathe. Service and food excellent.

Today we went to the hut, past Bistriška planina. In the upper part of the path there's still snow, on some sections, so caution isn't superfluous.

Today wonderful weather on Dobrča.
Path Hudi Graben-Hibje-Dobrča, without snow, icy in a couple of places. Path to Šentjaški vrh, snow and icy, recommend small crampons or more caution.
Service and offer in the hut, all praise and recommend for visit.

Today around noon there were no nice views from Dobrča, the direct path is icy.... next time I'll go on a more demanding tour, because this is ˝too easy˝ for my abilities.

On Dobrča the only highlight can be "too beautiful".
The summit is a real energy spot, views (for this altitude) unique, service in the hut excellent for years.
About crampons in the backpack and on feet as needed, no need to waste words.

Yes, Jusuf you've taken the words right out of my mouth...Dobrča is not just a point, it's a real energy bomb and thus a real magnet for many. For me it's actually the dearest, what's it called, heart's chosen one, although today I'm really sorry I can't attach at least a couple photos of this beauty. Just today was my this year's 50th ascent on this mountain, really paradisiacal day full of sun, whiteness and heavenly blue, which means I have special luck living at its foot. Quickly reachable, yet sufficiently strenuous for every day and especially in winter relatively safe, although really due to mass visits of hikers and sledders on paths there's also lots of ice, but it can be bypassed a bit. Winter has its special charms and traps...

Ljubitelj gora given your abilities I'm even surprised why you go on such "hillocks"! Leave them to us who love them! You find yourself a challenge on more "serious" peaks! If at home like Jalovec or Špik and similar aren't enough try something higher more suitable for you.. say K2 and surrounding "hillocks".
