After a short morning waver Krim-Dobrča-Krim-Dobrča, I finally chose the latter. From the start (Brezje) I dashed up the direct route, which is quite icy in the steepest part. Higher the path is better, towards Lešanska or Bistriška planina, where I returned, the snow is just right slippery ...

Today at Dobrča at half past one in the afternoon rain instead of snow like yesterday morning  Conditions: paths even more icy than yesterday, though the lower part is ok, dry  ... but wet!

Today there was a record visit to Dobrča, where I train on this mountain in recent years. Weather super, just windy, so no running in shorts. Running conditions ideal, except from Lovska koča onwards icy in some places.
Consequently, I was satisfied with the time, especially after yesterday's hopeless training on Roblek. There is hope to slowly get back in form.

I plan to go tomorrow or the day after to Dobrča. Wondering if there is still ice anywhere from Lovska koča onwards? Thanks!

I was up yesterday morning... conditions still similar to what Bojan described... except record visit and wind , icy sections can be avoided left and right, no big issue, a bit of caution doesn't hurt...

With family we went to Dobrča today. View from Šentanski vrh is really wonderful, so detour to it almost obligatory. Hut open and full of hikers. Nicely spent holiday.

I too was pondering if Dobrča belongs to K or KSA... well after reading posts in the thread, it's a bit clearer Today both Dobrča and Šentanski vrh served wonderful views, warm while sun shone... then cooled down a lot, fitting current conditions...

Logically Dobrča would belong under Karavanke. But it belongs to KS Alps, mainly due to ground structure i.e. rock types. That's why zob and os are KSA.
Most important - nice up there.

Yesterday, Sunday 11.12.2011 first time on Dobrča. Started from parking in Brezje near Tržič. Unfortunately fog all the way, no good photos. Still adding some. Up to the weekend the path was damp, wet and slippery. Here branches right direct to Dobrča top, left to hut in 20 min. From weekend to top frozen ground. Summit in fog too. Then from summit to hut. Path icy in places. Hut lots of visitors, pleasantly surprised in bad weather. Ordered štruklje, portion really for two, so štruklje for couples. Below hut across pasture path marked with winter road sticks - praiseworthy. No orientation issues in snow either.

today wonderful day on Dobrča, quite warm for this time, path a bit icy in places... Such friendly hutkeepers not for long, food top class! Won't waste words on views, let pictures speak...

You really had nice weather today. The service and food are really top-notch. Just like yesterday, I watched you today too, but only through the window, from home.
