You're right, today the air was clear and winter adds its touch too, on Donačka I haven't had such a one as today, but this August on Triglav I experienced a similar sunrise, only there it's different because you're at the highest point and it was special for me.

So, Christmas treelet on "Styrian Triglav" is up and richly decorated.
Don't take it down, but you can leave a gift under it for us hardworking

Ah, conditions - path from Rudi's hut to summit quite icy, especially upper half. Uphill not too bad, downhill highly recommend at least those small crampons. Didn't have them, slipped at least three times "on my butt".

Today's visit to Donačka was somewhat smaller than usual on Sundays, probably due to the forecasted cold. But cold wasn't an obstacle at all but very strong southwest wind carrying dry snow and making even harsher winter. The trail was snowy and very slippery under snow, so acrobatic skills came in handy too.

Today I was on the mountain and a bit repaired the nativity scene, then hung candies on the little spruce. Approach from Sv.Jurij. The trail at the start is in complete mud due to wood hauling, towards the top it improves. North side of trail still snowy, south side dry. But have small crampons in the backpack for descent from the top. Weather cloudy, temperature bearable. Lp. Lajči

No, they won't; the weather will fix it: rain, frost, snow, spring, then the trail will be nice again for walking.

Today on Donačka little new snow, just enough that it slipped under feet, otherwise at least a bit of winter idyll after spring week .

Was at the top, approach direction: Medgore-drot-top. At top little sun, below fog and freezing. Trail on south side bare, from top toward home icy, warmly recommend crampons to those who go up for New Year's Eve. Keep nice and happy in new year 2011!Lajči

Despite New Year's Eve, they were doing wood removal. Locals???
Made a complete bald spot, trail littered with branches, I wonder how it's possible to fell, no stump - stump had mark, means felling on the black as we say.
Nice celebration, apparently quite a lot happening.

Today we were on the mountain. Path muddy and slippery, towards the hut some turns still icy, so watch out on descent from the top! At the top blowing really shamelessly, otherwise temp above zero. Lp Lajči
