This weekend could be extremely avalanche-prone due to high temperatures. Especially in the afternoons.

I'd say the roof is more icy than snowy

A week ago there was a tragic accident due to a slip "on the roof". Despite that, there are already wishes for ascent. Human memory is really short-lived. Obviously, there will soon be news of a new accident in the black chronicle. Just something to think about overestimating one's ego.

The accident happened due to inappropriate equipment. If you don't have the right equipment or don't know how to use it properly, it's better to stick to Velika Planina and the like.

I think Fikret is still a bit short on mileage, otherwise he wouldn't have chimed in. Actually, he just wanted to do good and I completely understand him.

I really lack a lot of winter mileage. My range in winter is only Velika Planina and not taking risks in the high mountains. Despite all warnings in the media, there are still too many helicopter rescues with mountain rescuers in summer. I ask hikers with more mileage, what else can be done as prevention so that there are fewer injured and also fewer fatalities in our mountains.

With such a number of Mountaineering Associations, PZS Guides, Mountain Guides, Mountain Rescue Association and many training providers, acquiring knowledge really shouldn't be a problem.
However, no advice helps the convinced one, let alone criticism of their improper actions and behavior.

Just as an example of proper conduct of an inexperienced person; for the ascent to Viševnik the person hired a Mountain Guide and surrendered to the pleasure of moving on the mountain in winter conditions.

Yesterday I was for the first time this year on the king of the Kamnik Alps. Nice weather forecast lured me, I was a bit worried about the rotten afternoon snow, but the catch was elsewhere. Wind wasn't even mentioned in the forecasts, but it was gale-force, so longer sightseeing, changing or even snacking was out. Good there were poles at the top, where I hooked the poles' loops, otherwise they'd be blown away, with the ice axe I fixed the backpack, and took some shots in strong gusts. Luckily it was so strong only right at the top, a bit lower it wasn't bothering.
Road is good, at the cable car parking only a few cars, crampons made sense after about twenty minutes walking. Before exiting the forest the track is a bit strangely laid, obviously its creator wasn't the best route expert.
From there pure pleasure. The scree (except right bottom) is nicely covered and just shoots straight up through ideal snow to the saddle. In total I counted eleven climbers, who apart from mentioned issues enjoyed a wonderful day.
