Grintovec

Fulcrum, Darinka is right when referring to the constitution.
As she stated, there is a possibility of passing a law to limit rights.
The danger of bypassing the constitution, which you'll realize only when it hits you personally, lies in establishing totalitarian measures that have nothing to do with the public good. This has been seen so many times in history it's already boring.

Maybe semi-literacy causes misreading a few sentences. Or just inability to think.
Darinka wrote that by the constitution they should pass a law.
SHE DID NOT WRITE to not introduce restrictions. She wrote they should be LEGAL.

Fulcrom, that's about darinko4 that you accused her of in the last sentence. Then we'll all be friends and comfort each other, ego grudges gone too. You know what unites the nation - catastrophe, but what they're selling us isn't. That's why it's a game. Sorry everyone, I goofed the Grintovec route.nasmeh

Jax, if someone writes it was hard to get parking at Vršič pass, for you that's not mass violation either, just anecdotal?
Probably you'll say now there were few spots available or similar. Excuses always.
Totalitarian tendencies are a big problem if they're in your head. winking

Parking never forbidden. Anyway - maybe Bojan hid something, but on those pics by God I see no grouping.

Darinka, if the pandemic that has hit over 200 countries of the world doesn't mean extraordinary conditions, maybe they only still believe that in S.Korea.
Otherwise, the former (resigned) prime minister already spoke about our preparedness for a new epidemic and the proportionality of measures, which would probably mean the Italian-Spanish scenario.eek

I'm horrified by the comments, you lack empathy for people and heart, when restrictions are set, you only think about your own deprivation (hiking, cycling, trips....), you refer to laws and how your rights are violated - what about the people you might have infected with your moves around Slovenia - where is their right.

OK, now one simple question, say for 'and1':
What is the constitution intended for and how should we handle it?

@jax in his "answer" shows a level of dodging the question that any politician, left or right, would envy. Perfect for FDV political science textbooks.

Original question: Does the lack of parking spaces at a mountain destination prove that many people are violating the ban on movement restrictions and the recommendations of all competent services that people should not go to the mountains?

Answer: Parking was never forbidden.

Is the answer untrue? No, absolutely not! The statement is completely true.

Is the answer actually an *answer* to the given question? Not even close.

Really, textbook case of demagoguery. 10/10 for artistic impression.

The other advocates of mountaineering behave similarly lately. Workers in various competent services during their 12-hour shifts day after day ask to avoid activities with increased risk of *injuries*, meanwhile top hikers explain that they can go to the mountains because there's no increased risk of *infections* there. That we've just replaced the word injury with infection, they hope in a completely political spirit that we'll overlook it.

The forum should be dedicated to mountaineering topics, exchange of information, with which we help each other the most. If we write criticism, let's consider that we don't attack the person anyway. We're not all equally skilled, including me, and psychophysically capable, so it doesn't make sense to compare.
Regarding the virus or let's say a more dangerous form of virosis, it's not caused only by the most frequently named virus lately but by a group of them, symptoms are very similar so it's not necessary that the worst happens because of it. The body's response strongly depends on the immune system, which we ourselves influence the most with our diet. There's no talk anywhere about healthy eating (fruit and vegetables, where there are the most minerals and vitamins). Microorganisms work very well in acidic (anaerobic) environments of the body. We'll do a lot if we go for a walk, some hike. With that, the probability of getting infected in the solitude of nature or passing the infection to others is much smaller.

I wouldn't look for culprits all around me either, suspect everyone who passes by or just drivesnasmeh. We can do the most for health ourselves. I usually don't even get a regular flu, I've never been vaccinated against it in my life. I would never whine around who all infected me, I have to be resistant myselfnasmeh.

It's not just about us here, but also about all the others. In 20 years of working life I had 10 days of sick leave, if I get the virus probably nothing will happen to me, but what when my over 80-year-old mom depends on my care with medicines, food... if she gets the virus from me, then the medical staff, the neighbors in the block... We don't know who all is the carrier,... Let's not just look at our own asses

This one is pretty strong in the current circumstances, when we're talking about a virus that attacks the respiratory tract!

And about the much-praised immunity. No one is already immune to the new virus in advance. A stronger immune system can even cause a more violent reaction and worse consequences.
For those who read every message through colored filters in their own head: Stronger physical condition is of course desirable, as the sick endure the disease more easily. But it has nothing to do with immune resistance.

@bohincm True, walks and hikes are very beneficial.

However, we must also consider:

1. That hospital space is not unlimited. If not now, we can soon expect a shortage of free hospital capacities. Here I'm not just talking about free ventilators, but a whole range of shortages: blood stocks are depleting (while blood donation is simultaneously very difficult), there is a lack of free beds (even in traumatology!)...
2. That the work of all kinds of emergency services is currently greatly complicated, among other things because they have to treat all accident victims as infectious patients.
3. That both health and emergency services are already working at (or beyond) the edge of their capabilities without our stupidities.
4. That we are not gods, and that the probability of injuries in the mountains is *always* non-zero and greater than the probability of injuries during recreation in the valley.

To achieve the positive benefits of walks and hikes, the immediate surroundings of our home are more than enough. At the same time, recreation near home, in the form of walking, running or exercising, practically reduces to zero the probability that we additionally burden any of the above problems.
