Well, I haven't "advertised" here for a long time. I haven't completely "thrown the rifle into the corn", something still happens, but it's true that in my "rosy years" I look at everything a bit differently than "those" younger than 60 years, hi,hi. Just so you know, I'm still one of "those" who still remember the roof on Morbergni, j..... m...r!!!

Undoubtedly, a group whose members are aged somewhere between 10 and 100 years reads and co-shapes these pages... and so various feelings arise in us upon the ascent report....
On my first descent from Triglav in 1969, when I was 11 years old, the Triglav barracks of Viktor Emanuel III still had all the shutters and naively I thought it was already Dolič... then they reminded me that it was Morbegna, as it was wrongly called for decades.... Interesting reading in PV (Oct 2014, author Grega Žorž) why we let it decay... Lojz just demolished the remains, which were a bigger nuisance than a pile of stones...

Why is neatly stacked and processed stone a bigger nuisance than if everything is scattered?

Lojz aka "triglav lumberjack" once had a bunch of fans on this forum who supported him and helped make him a man who lives with nature and harms no one. Accordingly, yellow newspapers swarmed him and made him an icon.

In reality, the little guy built three black weekend houses in the mountains including a bunker by the barracks, which he locked with a padlock for his own use, declared as "bivouac" for the public, but demolished the military one to the ground.

After someone reported him, he had to go to the ministry which owns the plot to defend himself, then he went quiet and since then nothing is heard about him and he avoids journalists who swarmed him every summer during pickle season and wrote little stories about him.

Although the topic turned away from Grintovec, I read something that also led me years ago to wrong thinking.
More than ten years ago I was also in Žakljev bivouac myself, he even cooked coffee for my husband.

So I went to check sources a bit.

By the way, Lojz demolished Morbegno because he owns that bunker next to it, which is smaller to maintain than that huge Morbegno building, and so that maybe no one would think of reviving such a huge building, Lojz figured he'd rather demolish it even earlier hastily. Because if they renovated Morbegno, Lojz would be too envious. Maybe it's better this way, maybe not, and maybe we'll really renovate it someday, although on one hand it's much better if Slovenes built a completely new building somewhere nearby., .

Or from Kamniška Bistrica, especially the scree below the hut?

Edit: Already saw in the neighboring thread "Kamniško sedlo" that the scree is practically completely dry.smile

The path over Mlinarsko sedlo is not dry. Over the weekend I slept in the Pavle Kamperl bivouac below the saddle, and already on the way to it I had to cross some snow patches (otherwise not demanding even without winter gear). I didn't go higher, but the situation is visible from the picture...

Nice, otherwise this picture from Mlinarsko sedlo onwards doesn't help much since the path is not on the photo
