Yesterday in Konec, by the cargo cableway and all to Zgana peč more than 70 cars...at 8am....road fixed, now judge yourself if easy ;-)

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has current information on conditions for ascent to Grintovec from Konec via Streha. The bad weather on Tuesday, 21.6., bothers me a bit, but I can't find any info online. Thanks for any help.

It's been a few years since I started into the Kamnik Alps from the parking lot at the lower station of the cargo cable car to Kokrsko sedlo. I'm wondering if the road from home to the lower cable car station is in bad condition.

To Grintovec I'd like to go via this route: Suhadolnik - Taška - Grdi graben - Sredni and Zgornji Dolci - Dolška Škrbina - summit; descent over Streha to Kokrško sedlo and via Taška to start. Interested in what the ascent section from the junction to Kokrško Kočno in Srednji Dolci to Dolška škrbina is like. Please your opinion.

On Sunday I did the tour Ravenska Kočna-Češka hut-Kremžarjeva-Jezerska Kočna-Dolška škrbina-Grintovec-Mlinarsko sedlo-Frischaufova-Češka hut-Ravenska Kočna. Super, interesting, adrenaline tour, hiking for 7-9 hours. Weather ok, good views, not too hot. Above 1500m nice breeze, but in the wall and scree hot, ridges well ventilated. Path over Dolška škrbina is nice panoramic. Not really forested, but not too exposed. Key parts secured, at 2-3 spots need to be more careful. Classic - rocks and scree. Same for crossing to Mlinarsko sedlo, where I first had the honor in KSA to meet big chamois, cherry on top of the interesting tour. Frischaufova path is one of the toughest descents I've done. At some points breath-taking. Rocks, scree, exposure and falling rocks, really requires full concentration and at times quite thrilling, especially when you hear falling rocks above. Descent from it normal - no snowfield like last year. Snowfields left and right and a bit higher where melting snow flows water directly over path at two spots - caution needed.
