Uhhh, tough, it was tough to get up today and I arrived almost an hour late to the starting point ... I thought I'd be alone , but as soon as I parked right at the start I had one of those days when you just can't go uphill and your body gives up, don't know if hunger, fatigue, backpack weight, or just not its day?!
but, the morning soon turned my way and the way of many puffing souls, as halfway to the saddle I came out of the fog and with every step higher the views widened and caressed my eyes... I think this is the second time I've had almost no wind on Grintovec summit and temps where fleece sufficed
wallcreeper took my snack , good I only set out half a bun, hehe, so I secretly nibbled the cookies myself!
descent flew by so fast I don't know how I dawdled so long uphill, hehe, so went to my grassy "vip" spot where I napped an hour to catch up morning deficit, priceless.
day of highlights, nature again "to blame" offering stuff to photo...
aha, now conditions... despite all winter gear and snow "from roof to top", didn't need it as snow sank just right...

Has anyone been to Grintovec in the last days? What are the conditions over Streha? Is it dry? Thanks

Path over Streha is dry. Some snow patches in the last 100m but easily bypassed. 2 Nov path not icy in the morning.

Start at Suhadolnik via Taška to Cojzova hut. No issues to here.
Then towards Skuta and before Vratca left to Long Walls ridge. Path dry, just bit snow upper exit part easily bypassed.
Really nice day to rest eyes. Descent same way.

Today on Grintovec it was still a nice autumn day. A bit of high cloudiness, some clarity and southwest wind on the summit. At noon the summit was quite crowded, mostly young people. I, as an exception, was confirming the rule.

Exceptional. I'm quite fovš. I see that after the cooling it's again that best visibility. When it was warm the visibility was a bit worse, but still excellent.

Today at the summit. The path is trodden, from today onwards..
Snow up to cojzeve ker plenty, gaiters needed. Further from the hut it's like somewhere, either blown or drifted. Towards the summit icy.

It looks like there's not much snow. But it's windblown, so you need to know the path well to not stray too much. In fog, that happens quickly. But access to Grintavec via Streha in winter conditions—of course favorable—is relatively safe. I don't see that they had crampons—I think they are definitely recommended. I've never been up in winter. But this winter I'll try it.

The car is fine, but permanent 4x4 and implanted crampons...
And probably enjoys the snow.

urarrr .....the video is wonderful...conditions aren't too wintery....we probably really won't need crampons...they forecast warming...well, we'll see how the weather progresses until Friday....then path under the feet and Grintovec a bit closer in "winter" time to explore....
