I'm wondering if anyone went up from Suhadolnik these days. How's the snow on the trail? Thanks.

Yesterday from Suhadolnik up the Old path then back over Taško. Trail to the junction of both mentioned towards Kokrsko sedlo dry. Then quite a few icy and snowy sections, small crampons make it easier. Trail from the saddle to the top dry, exception one small steep snowfield a bit above the hut and a few steps on southern snow right under the summit. View very nice, light wind on top and quite warm.

Domch, is the old trail well visible or marked? Is it suitable for a dog too? Thanks.

The old trail is well marked, has some cables for safer steps as it goes at three spots right by the cliff edge, but nothing special. Suitable for a dog too, definitely better option than over Taško.

What are the conditions on the trail Kamniška Bistrica-Kokrsko sedlo-Grintovec? Are crampons needed?

Two weeks ago they weren't needed, except up to the saddle small ones are recommended.
If some snow has drifted in the meantime, I wouldn't know velik nasmeh

Good luck

According to hikers on Saturday there's some minor ice, can be bypassed, or you can put on small crampons and no problems.

As Domch says, small crampons suffice. Icy mainly from the bench to the saddle and a bit on the summit (but can be bypassed).

Today a nice Christmas-New Year tour nasmeh, completely dry, winter gear was totally unnecessary this time. 11 degrees at the summit and beautiful views, recommended.

Yesterday on Grintovec. First time from Suhadolnik, nice path, slightly frozen in places, so caution is advised. From the hut to the summit, path without snow. It was very crowded, weather not wintery at all. Thanks to the gentleman for two cups of tea.

I went yesterday via Kokrško sedlo. No snow on the path, but up to the saddle most of the path quite icy - spikes (especially on descent) recommended.
From the saddle onwards pure bliss - path completely dry. Quite crowded, but not surprising given the weather.

We did a nice long tour yesterday. Started in Konec upwards towards Gamsov skret. Above it we turned right and climbed directly up the very steep scree to Veliki greben. From there two of us continued over the natural bridge with lots of exposure below, the third via the normal path to the path below Skuta's wall. In between we watched chamois showing us their acrobatic snow scrambling. There we put on crampons and with ice axes continued on the very poorly snowed ramp. Below nice along the wall, higher better on the summer variant. On the ramp we took off crampons and continued without to Skuta summit, as there's almost no snow in the upper half. Followed partly snowy descent towards Dolgi hrbet. We did Dolgi hrbet as strictly along the ridge as possible.cool Some details nicely spiced. To me the nicest was the last descent part to Mlinarsko sedlo. But Dolgi hrbet is completely dry. Continuation along the ridge from Mlinarsko sedlo is at least as demanding, the last part before Grintovec even more. Already while climbing the ridge I eyed the direct northeast ridge of Grintovec searching with eyes for possible passages to the top. Since this ridge tempted me for a while, I decided to try. Friends chose the marked path. Climbing it felt like pure poetry. Difficulty doesn't exceed grade 3, only right at the top a fully loaded rock jump gave me some gray hairs, as I wasn't sure if it would hold my weight or collapse.eek Turned out friends had quite icy on the marked path. On Grintovec we chatted a bit with wonderful views and then descended via Dolge stene and Kokrško sedlo to the car. Demanding tour, the strain forgotten, the beauty will stay forever.nasmeh

Today from Kamniška Bistrica (hut) to the summit. Not much snow, but enough to make cornices that greatly hinder progress.
But gorgeous weather with super views. A strong icy wind was blowing, though, especially over "streha" and on the summit.
