...first, try them on, then decide... based on which fits you better..

I'd use them for hiking and higher mountains - meaning rocks too. They have to be light and comfortable/soft. And good ankle support. No winter tours planned. More spring, autumn and summer of course.

Go to the store, try different models and decide.

Hanwag Ferrata Combi GTX, of course lady model Suitable for tours from Glinščica all the way to očak. From 1.1. to 31.12. If experiences accumulate and appetites, i.e. wishes increase, they are excellent also in winter (suitable for semi-automatic crampons). But it's the same with these boots as with all others. They have to fit your foot Or, even better, the little foot has to fit nicely into the footwear

Turbo, do you have a suggestion for some cheaper variant? I know these are probably TOP but since we have to buy each our own, our finances don't allow it Still, I'd ask where in MB they have this brand?

Hey, today tried at least 10 pairs of boots, among them also these hanwag ferata combi, but don't know, price is high, 209eur, but didn't fit that nicely on foot, even though imo ok, didn't buy, not cuz price.. bought Salewa MTN trainer gtx, boots were super for me, right away when put on, light, not that stiff, nice walking, quite soft heel, fit super on foot, and nice design, really 1A boots, and price good, TERRASPORT, discounted from 179 to 129, only discounted like that in terrasport and elan begunje. In kibuba same boots no discount. Will see how they hold up on wear, really curious. Otherwise no comments yet , so recommend go try.. nice greetings all

Super, I personally think can't advise which boot is good, basically all are good. Depends only if your foot accepts it or not, that's all the science. And try as many boots and different brands as possible. My foot is very demanding so usually don't get off cheap

On Saturday afternoon we'll go hunting for boots. But probably a problem, cuz most of these stores open only in the mornings. If by chance I have Saturday morning free, where do you advise to go in Maribor to try as many as possible? Hervis, Intersport, Giga Sport worth going at all?

I personally don't trust these big stores. I prefer private shops. They tell you much more although usually also more expensive but if we look at it that knowledge and experience are paid for it's ok.

Does anyone have Salewa Rapace GTX footwear?

Given that they have abnormal problems with sizes at NA, the decision fell on ALPINA boots. Choosing between the models: TIBET NEPAL Please advise!

I tried Salewa Rapace GTX, it's the same model as Salewa MTN Trainer GTX, only these Rapace are stiffer because they are for semi-automatic crampons. I wouldn't buy Alpine .. bad experiences, have you tried those Salewa MTN Trainer GTX? I recommend them. Best regards

I haven't tried them because there are no sizes. Simply

It's hell trying on such boots when they have sizes 37, 38 and 40. I have foot 39. I probably need 40, but if they had half a size bigger I would try it because of the feel. But they don't. And what then? With a boot for almost 200 EUR you really have to be sure it fits
