Čevljarstvo Uroš in Stražišče near Kranj. Price 30€, repair usually in less than a week. Not Vibram sole, grip in wet and slippery better than original soles. After holidays the fourth boots go to "service", with the other three so far more than satisfied. http://trgovina-cevljarstvo.si/?page_id=7 Happy holidays and many trips in the new year Dare

I have the Cevedale model, really comfortable boots, for all seasons. Recommend.

Nice greeting. I'm browsing this thread a bit and have been searching the internet for a while reading reviews and tests for various hiking boots. Looking for quality boots for all seasons. I've looked at La Sportive Trango Guide Evo, Trango Alp, Nepal Extreme, Scarpe Rebel Lite, Salewe Raven Combi, Garmont Tower Plus, Salomon Quest 4D. Seen more but these are in the "favorites" circle. If anyone has experience with any of the listed models I'd be very grateful for advice/comparison and say which of these models is most suitable for slightly wider feet or adapts to it. Also my feet get cold quickly so that's one of the more important factors. Also interested how the above models compare to Alpina Lhotse or Diablo, which are both often praised in this thread and I like them a lot. Price-wise there shouldn't be quality differences, but still interested in opinions. Thanks in advance for any reply

Check out Planika boots a bit. In the decades I've been wearing them, they've never disappointed me.

Hey, Nepal Extreme is a winter boot...

For me Lhotse top all season boots are top. I use them for all high mountain tours; summer, winter, with crampons, without ... never soaked and even in winter warm enough with just one pair of thick socks. For ice climbing though the sole is still too soft.

"Quality boot for all seasons"? Can't imagine it. Not even in urban environment, let alone mountains. You'll have to pick boots yourself. And not necessarily hit it on the first try. Forum ads show that. Boots are quite often sold items.

As Drago said, no boot for all seasons exists... I think Trango Guide Evo and Trango Alp have very wide use spectrum (good ratio of thermal insulation and boot weight). Nepal Extreme is winter boot, too hot in summer Salomon Quest 4D not best for long winter tours due to poor insulation, but very light and comfy, sole profile has worse "grip" (traction) than others (more slippery). Don't know other listed boots. Year-round boot use greatly reduces "lifespan" (sole wear, waterproof loss, etc)

Also consider we have different foot shapes. Best to try as many models as possible before buying, even multiple times if needed. Don't rush purchase so boots not in small ads after two tours. P.S. Selling low hiking boots Dolomite Steinbock approach size 42.5 Worn 2x

Last year at Alpina I tried some models, none fitted, I almost gave up on finding any. Then the saleswoman remembered the Alpina Tibet model. Those fitted perfectly and I chose them.

I had Alpina Tibet, still have them. It's about 5 years since I bought them, still kinda alive. Not so much for mountains anymore, started using them for various jobs, a bit dirty with emulsion and liquids. For physical work, good for another two years Very satisfied with them, when the boot softens and breaks in, pure poetry. This summer got Lhotse model, should last many years depending on use. Three hikes so far. What are your experiences with this model? As high mountain boot, not optimal for summer light 1500m hike, deciding on another pair for summer. Between Tibet and Nepal. The latter tempts me a bit, sturdier and more robust than Tibet. Your opinions and recommendations for this model? Suitable for around 2000m heights and easy walking mountain tours? How about the sole of this boot or sole flexibility?

I wore out Tibet in one and a half seasons then bought Nepal, which fell apart before one year. Sole totally worn after a few months of use and started detaching from the boot after one month. Then seams cracked on both sides of both heels. Still, I think Nepal is a bit better shoes than Tibet. Also have Peak model, which fell apart after three years of use. Still, I think all listed models are quite comfortable and functional. I switched to La Sportiva but would still recommend Alpina to someone who can't afford something better quality. Will just have to pay a little less money more often...

Alpina; for that money too expensive boots! Poor quality material - a bit better cardboard that, despite care, doesn't hold the morning dew! Nice-looking in an Italian style! I've finished with them!

Thanks for the answers. Hmm, interesting. Can you tell me what the usual frequency of using these boots was that they wore out so fast? Because in my case I think there's no chance that will happen, since I don't hike that often.
