Super, Stane!... I swore to myself that I won't climb Neškarju anymore, because it's really a strenuous long gully. For descent it's very useful... mežikanje

Right, Andrej. In the gully itself I had tough luck, the most strenuous was the breakthrough through the brush in the first third. Snow to the waist in places, pulling branches... I thought of Šrauf and it went. nasmeh

Nice, Stane, so yesterday we weren't far apart, I decided for Zvoh, because for a good ascent to Kal Ridge from Dolga Njiva there was too little snow. LP Miro

Miro, I was already thinking about descent to Dolga Njiva and over Lojtro to Roblek, but I wasn't sure about the connection to Suhadolnik. Then during descent along one of the lower logging trails a friendly local cheered me with his answer.
Who knows, maybe it will come in handy sometime.

Hehe, don't remind me, Stane...in February we were right there on descent doing gymnastics through brush in total darkness...velik nasmeh...ascent on ridge dragged on for us because there was too little snow...but we usefully used Rdeči graben for ascent...mežikanje...crazy, wild world here!

How is that most prominent gully (widest) called that leads you to saddle under summit? I know colleague already landed with parachute in it and continued to top.
best.

On 12.3. my buddy and I planned to visit the mentioned mountain. We started from Planina Jezerca, crossed the Krvavec ski slope and continued on the tracks of the predecessor, which unfortunately ended a quarter of an hour from the fence. Obviously sinking too much and the hiker turned back. We continue - Every other step sinks to the knees or over, so I really felt sorry for him. We somehow struggle to Dolga Njiva and on the plain we come across a ski track, next to it familiar tracks. Bear. They were slightly covered with midday snow, so the furry one was surely far away.
But no such luck. When advancing towards Škrbina 1870, 10 min from the building on the ski track or right next to it, new, smaller tracks appear - last year's cub.
Since it started snowing lightly, from Škrbina to KG is still 1.20h (and that's in summer conditions), and the snow was still sinking quite a bit, we turned towards home.

It gave me chills, a bear near Krvavec?
But you were brave to turn back only after finding them a second time!

The bear is a totally friendly beastvelik nasmeh, if you don't surprise it and of course if it doesn't have cubs with it. It's good to be loud enough so it registers you in time and retreats. The most dangerous is strong wind blowing from the bear's direction towards you and it can't hear or smell you.

The path to Kal Ridge is long. Over Kriška Planina, under Zvoh to Planina Koren and on to Vrh Korena, down to Škrbina and finally ascent to Kal Ridge. Expecting rotten snow, light clouds ensured the snow was surprisingly skiable and at the same time no excessive heat. Two ladies went on foot without snowshoes and I can only admire their perseverance and will, as I would have turned back quickly when sinking to my a... or in their case to something else. nasmeh Kriška Planina is fully spring-like and full of blooming crocuses. Snow starts at Planina Koren, so you have to suffer about an hour carrying skis on your back.

Yesterday afternoon I started from Roblek, no more snow, the path is normally passable. I also went further along the ridge towards Kalška Gora, it's bare there too.
