No new thread.
Yesterday from Dedno polje first to Slatno and Kred. Without snowshoes in these hot days advise against hiking under 2000m, snow completely rotten. Sunrise on Kred sadly covered by eastern clouds.
To Prvi Vogel from saddle between it and Slatno. South slope mostly dry, no crampons or snowshoes needed. To Zadnji Vogel snow mostly holding well, no snowshoes.
From Zadnji Vogel down to saddle Vrata. Day still long and energy plenty, checked steep passage under Vršak. Ski tourer tracks allowed fairly safe crossing though snow compacted and icy.
Then to Hribarice and finished peaks on Kanjavec. Ski season there for a while, plenty snow. For hiking snow well compacted, strong sun not melting too much.
Back to saddle Vrata and valley behind Kopica to Dedno polje.
Nice hot excellently spent day.

Yesterday and today 22.4 I went via Kopna Komarča through the Valley of Triglav Lakes to Kanjavec. Slept in the winter room at Prehodavci.

Snow starts in the forest and on shady slopes, after Black Lake. From Double Lake to Prehodavci there's lots of snow, had to use snowshoes all the time.

This morning caught hard snow, rewarded with nice sunrise. Descended via Hribarice to Voje. Both days used all winter gear, conditions fully wintery.

Sleeping in huts is not top of our priorities. Not even at the bottom. But one of the most desired experiences is what happens before and after sleep somewhere above 2000+. An experience never twice the same, but each time exciting and magical in its own special way. Those moments when you see the sun to bed and you're there when it wakes up, stretches its rays and embraces the rocky peaks with them… Though both last just moments, that's what imprints in heart and memory… and you're ready to sweat drops and gasp for hours for those moments… mežikanjenasmeh

Friday's Kanjavec. So many times I intended to go there, but something always came up. On Friday I succeeded. Nice panoramic tour from Dolič, only clouds occasionally covered the top of Triglav, later Kanjavec was also shrouded in clouds. And I had company from the Primorska area, who was also there for the first time on the summit.

Interesting, I wouldn't have thought I'd go another Friday, and I didn't plan to go to Kanjavec. I decided for Hribarice, where I hadn't been for many years. The sun was scorching, lots of people, especially foreigners. I forgot it's quite an ascent from Dolič. Then beautiful wandering to Zasavska koča na Prehodavcih. There I happily drank a beer, and a mountaineer who came from Vogar suggested we go together to Kanjavec, along the path below Hribarice. Another path leads from the top of Hribarice. Quite a few of us went that way. Ibex were sunbathing above us. From the ridge side you can see how extensive Kanjavec is. You reach the summit quite quickly. Nice ascent, I'd repeat it sometime.

After admiring the moonset and the awakening day, on Saturday, 29.8.2015, I continued my hike that I started two days ago at the Vogel ski slope.
First day: Vogel-Konjsko sedlo-pl.Govnjač-Mahavšček-Bogatinsko sedlo-Komna: http://www.hribi.net/trenutnerazmere.asp?slo=1&gorovjeid=1&id=2075&stran=2

Second day: Komna-Koča pri Sedmerih jezerih-M.Tičarica-below Kopica and over Zelnarica-Prehodavci:
http://www.hribi.net/trenutnerazmere.asp?slo=1&gorovjeid=1&id=2810

Ascent from Zasavska koča na Prehodavcih (2,071 m) to the junction below Vršaki at the start of Hribarice (2,274 m) was in the cool of morning shade (photos of sunlit Vršaki and Poprovca are from the previous day), then hot ascent to Kanjavec (2,569 and 2,568 m). Unfortunately, noisy hikers rushing over Hribarice scared away all ibex, but one greeted me on the path below Kanjavec. While it was quite busy in the valley and the top of Triglav was black with people, I enjoyed complete solitude on both summits of Kanjavec for quite some time. On the summit, the wind cooled me deeply and I descended to the valley with a heavy heart. Good thing it was windy again at Koča na Doliču (2,151 m) and I more easily started the hot and long descent to Trenta (600 m). In the afternoon, the picturesque mule track descending to Zadnjica was mostly sunlit, reflecting off the red-hot rocks, so it was stiflingly hot. Zadnjica was already in shade, but due to high humidity the cool didn't bring relief. For the path through the long valley I had to gather the last atoms of strength and speed up properly to catch the bus home in Trenta (Na Logu).

Nice and due to length quite demanding path. Ascent to Kanjavec requires some concentration on ascent and descent over steep scree slopes, climbing over two rocks would be easier with a peg (especially where the rocks for holds are quite loose), a few steps along the narrow unprotected ridge are also quite exposed. I would mark the path as at least partially difficult, if not difficult. On the ascent, with faded markers and scree churned everywhere, I quickly strayed from the right path. Ascent to the less visited western summit is quite easy despite the less visible path. In good conditions, it's worth climbing both summits and enjoying the vast views limited only by Triglav summit.

For the path I needed 8 hours with countless short stops for photographing and catching breath (without picking it would be about an hour less), with three longer stops over 11 hours.

Does anyone know if some mountaineering club is going to Kanjavec at the end of the month or beginning of October?

Many clubs post events here
http://www.rekreacija.si/koledar
but no Kanjavec among the published ones until the end of this year.
On FB there are numerous groups on mountaineering topic (the most numerous is I think hribolazec), and here on hribi.net there is also a topic "together to the mountains" or something like that.

On Saturday 24.10 I went to Kanjavec via Komarča, past Dvojno jezero, Tičarica, Zelnarica. There is some snow on Zelnarica, on Kanjavec I used all winter gear. I overnighted and descended to the bivouac at Prehodavci.

On Sunday morning I was again on Kanjavec. Towards the pasture in Laz I descended through the valley behind Debelem vrhom. At the end of the valley I went a few dozen meters right and descended about a 10 m gully to the path leading to the pasture in Laz. Then also to planina Blato.

Not for one hour, for a whole month we should stop time. (this time I'm annoyed because I can't/don't know how to upload photos)

Sunday's Kanjavec. From Prehodavci I went towards Hribarice. And then to Kanjavec. Markings are quite faded. You need to watch the path, which is barely noticeable in some places. Otherwise nice ascent. Especially in such weather as yesterday.
