Kladivo and Veliki vrh - Košuta

Has anyone hiked recently in the direction of Kofce-Kofce gora-M. and V. Kladivo?

I was today...matzovec..kofce..kofce gora..m.kladivo..v.kladivo..šija..kofce. On the path still a couple of patches of snow, which is no problem..it can be bypassed too.nasmeh

Today from Mrzli studenec, then coffee at Šija, Veliko and Malo Kladivo, then over Kofce-gora and both Toplar peaks to Veliki vrh and descent past Dom na Kofcah to the starting point.
Weather mostly sunny with foggy periods, on descent beautifully sunny. Slight wind. Path through forest wet and locally muddy, wet roots dangerous for slipping; path further dry, except some snow patches towards the ridge top; easily passable. In such nice weather of course met quite a few hikers.

At 960m there won't be anything serious with snow there.

From the fog and cold in the valley today we had to climb at least above 1000 meters. The path Matizovec-Kofce-Veliki vrh-Kladivo-Šija-Kofce is without special features. Well, one special feature: it's quite dusty. Warm and scenic.

Personally the most beautiful part of our mountains in winter time, Košuta and the pastures below it. I start below Matizovec and first to Bela peč. After the summit I descend to the marked path Tržič-Kal-Kofce. Below Kofce I go right towards Šija and a bit further from Šija I turn left uphill. Someone ahead of me has already walked and saved some energy that way. When I reach the top of Kladivo, great views, of course. YES that's it, what I wanted. Yesterday it was cooking me constantly, today a completely different story. From the top of Kladivo I descend and continue towards Veliki vrh, where I wait for sunset. I had the ice axe in hand the whole time, luckily no need to put on crampons. After sunset on Veliki vrh I descend via the lower path back to the start.

Hi! Has anyone been to Kladivo and Veliki vrh these days? I'd go this weekend and I'm curious about the snow conditions. Hope someone can help nasmeh Thanks!

If you go from the south side, there are no snow conditions, maybe some meter-wide patch you can skip. lpnasmehmežikanje

sandrita, last Sunday I was on Veliki vrh and Kofce gora. There were still quite a few snow patches, but most weren't frozen, so no need for crampons. The most unpleasant was the snow on the direct path from Kofce gora down towards Kofce (mainly due to the steepness and partial freezing). Best regards!

Of course, no snow at this altitude for quite some time, and the road is in good condition otherwise.

Past Kofce and to Veliki vrh, just as I got back to the car the thunderstorm broke loose. Someone forgot their phone on the bench at Kofce, so I put it under the roof, more info on ZS

Today a nice circular path. (Kofce-Veliki vrh-Kofce gora-Malo Kladivo-Veliko Kladivo-Šija-Kofce). Path without features, but it was very foggy this morning. But still nice. Greetings.

jvali. Mrzli studenec - Veliki vrh (Košuta). You can also choose another starting point (Matizovec). From Veliki vrh continue along the ridge to Veliko Kladivo. For the return descend back from Veliko Kladivo to the foot below Kladivo. There an unmarked path branches off to Planina Šija (path well followable). From Planina Šija marked path to Kofce and onwards to the starting point. Greetings and safe steps.
